"I love this coat. it is the best jacket I have ever owned for winter activities. I wore it snow shoeing at 10 degrees, with a long sleeve cotten tee and a sweatshirt and was snug as a bug. It is a great coat for around town. It is light and warm without bulk. Absolutely,windproof. And, an added bonus, its zipper marries with my Columbia Gortex parka; this forms an almost blizzard system. In fact I pack the parka in my pack when I head into the woods on shoeshoes just in case. The only minor improvement I could suggest is the additon of an inside pocket. I don't see it in this years catalog though. I hope Cabelas continues to sell this coat. It is an absolute winner."

"I wear this jacket under an Aerostitch Darien jacket for my cold weather motorcycle commutes. This jacket totally blocks the wind, keeps my upper body warm on a 60 mile round trip commute even in sub freezing temperatures, and fits great. I also wear this jacket when fishing or sailing in the late fall or early spring - its windblocking capabilities allow me to wear less bulky layers and manage body temperature better in the periods of inactivity broken by bursts of mayhem!"

"Lots of good reviews, and it appears for good reason. Very warm, in fact if you will find yourself taking it off in a hurry inside. Ive worn it in mid 40s to mid 50s with just a T shirt undernearth and I find myself zipping it open to cool off.
I am very glad I bought this, especially at sale price. Only complaint is no inside pocket. Some have complained about length, but I am 5'8" and about 175 pounds, and length is fine (I bought a Large and plenty of room. You will likely want to use the cinch cord at the bottom to close it up, as without doing that it makes it appear somewhat awkward.
I do NOT recommend getting a size larger then you think you need, they run spot on for me, little extra room built in for layering."

"I live in the Pacfic NW, where the tempurature can change in an instant and vary in less than a mile. This is my third TEF/Windshear product. I now have two of these jackets and a vest.
This jacket is windproof and warm with the added insulation. I've worn it through winter weather and windy conditions with no problems. No problems with quality on this product (or the vest). You might want to get one size larger than normal if you're going to wear a sweater or bulkier layers because materials of this jacket make it a little stiff and it doesn't stretch like other fleece.
If this had outer chest pockets and/or inside pockets I would have given 5 stars. The hand pockets are roomy enough and are windproof as well to keep your hands warm.
Suggestion: I would like to see a zip-off sleeve version, with the extra pockets - that would be an AWESOME product!"

"Although it is August here and too hot to use this jacket,I have another one of these jackets I got last winter and this is now my favorite jacket. I have never had a fleece keep me warm in 30 degree temps but this jacket will. Also road in a boat in 40 degree weather with this jacket on it is most definitely windproof. All in all the best fleece jacket you will ever get and replace a bunch of other jackets with this one. Great Jacket! So good I had to get me another one in a different color.

"I purchased this jacket with the intent to keep me warm during colder weather fly fishing. I looked at a lot of jackets on the market, and read a lot of reviews. This one fit the bill just right. The wind shear, thinsulate insulation, soft fleece shell and lining have been perfect. I have found that if it gets down to 10 degrees or colder, I can add fleece sweater as an additional liner. This jacket really cuts the cold wind out. I wear XL size clothing, I ordered an XL size jacket and it fit perfect. Lots of room for movement. Nice product!!!"

"The jacket is very roomy and is very confortable, its not tight in the wrists, a quality I look for when shopping for a new jacket. The zipper is snag free and fits together nicely w/o having to look at it. It blocks out the wind, and doesnt restrict movement of the arms and it has deep pockets which keeps items from falling out even when bending or crouching. I would recommend this jacket to anyone."

"Jacket performs as advertised. Very warm, material has a good feel to it. Sturdy feeling zipper and large collar. I perfer longer jackets (like parkas) when it comes to lenght, this one sits right below the top of a back pocket on a pair of jeans with arms at sides. Only thing that I would like to see changed is the cuff, elastic band needs to be a little wider and a little tighter to the rist."
