"As usual Cabela's has a winner in this product. Bow hunting the mountains of Colorado will wear out most boots in a 30 day season, not the Snow Runners. I expect to get MANY more seasons out of these boots!"

Comfortable, but not warm enough?,October 9, 2009

"I bought these boots last year for the main purpose of walking my dog through the snow/slush/ice of the Michigan winter.
Positives: They are very comfortable, well made, and light enough to wear while jogging several miles through inches of snow and slush. They also keep my feet dry from the outside.
Negatives: Despite wearing wool and fleece socks, my feet get cold after a few hours, especially if I'm standing still or sitting. Example: I spent a few hours prepping a winter camping area in 5-10 degree F temps - feet were warm the entire time. Literally minutes after I sat down to chow, my toes became so cold that I had to go inside to warm up.
Overall, a 4-star product, but don't expect the temperature rating to be accurate."

"My wife and I each ordered a pair of these boots. We got them one size larger than our feet measured on Cabela’s printable foot sizing charts -- I like to have room for (2) two pair of Cabela’s wool boot socks – and they are both perfect! These boots are light as a feather, wonderfully comfortable, toasty warm, water proof, good looking, and the tread pattern is as grippe as the tires on my 4x4. What more could anyone ask? Great boots – way to go, Cabela’s!!"

"I'd purchased a pair of these several years ago, and eventually had to give up on them only because one of them got slashed by a large, mean-tempered cat. I have no idea how, but apparently that boot just offended the heck out of the beast...
The first pair was comfortable, easy to wear and amazingly durable (aside from the aforementioned cat) and I never got my feet wet wearing them. It was such a great product, I had no qualms about ordering another pair."

"The Cabela's Snow Runner boot is without a doubt the best pair of general purpose boots I have ever owned. They are warm enough to sit motionless for hours, on ice-covered concrete during a fotball game at 5 degrees F. They are light enough to hike for miles in muddy woods in a 105 degree haze. My feet have never been too cold, nor too hot, & they have never been wet when wearing these boots. I have even purchased a second pair & have them in storage in case they are ever discontinued. I won't be too woried about getting the new ones out for quite a while though, as my current pair hardly shows any signs of wear, after two years of being my exclusive pair of inclimate weather boots."

"Very comfortable right out of the box. I took the advice of others and ordered a size large. Maybe could have gone a half size but I'm very pleased. I wanted these to wear in the winter to indoor practices where I would need somethng like a track shoe for comfort but may need to walk through snow to get inside. Very warm in the cold weather. I wore them shovelling snow today. My feet stayed dry and warm. I coach a girls fastpitch softball team. I will wear them outside for games in the early spring and fall when it can be cold and wet."
