"These socks kept my feet warm but yet not sweaty. The outside is somewhat silky. I am not sure that they can be worn alone as they may slip down and bunch up. I would recommend to wear with an extra pair of socks. That is what I did and they seemed to work fine for me."

"I bought these socks to wear under wool socks for snowshoeing and sledding in 15 degree weather. I wore the 2 pairs of socks with a pair of felt lined boots. I was disappointed because my feet were not as warm as I expected them to be. The toes on my right foot still got cold and I was not just standing still. I was moving most of the time, with periodic short rest stops.
They might be fine for weather that is not very cold, or if you are not going to be out for hours at a time. But, for serious winter sports in very cold weather, I would not recommend them."

"I wore these on a 2400 mi motorcycle trip and my feet stayed warm except when the temps dipped below 30, then I just added a pair of wool socks over them and my feet stayed warm. They are very comfortable to wear and I highly recommend them."
