Stayin' Dry!,September 18, 2007
By ALhunterfrom Southeast
"I purchased this parka with the pants for a recent hiking trip in Colorado. I needed rainwear that is reliable, breatheable, lightweight and easily packed. This parka and pants met all my needs without a single problem. We had light to semi-heavy rain on two separate occasions, and I stayed competely dry the entire time I wore them. If you're needing full rain protection in a lightweight package, you have found your answer here!"

GREAT lightweight rain jacket,November 3, 2009
By MCmoviefanfrom Seattle
"I whole-heartedly recommend this jacket for everyday, anytime use. It is nice and lightweight. Goretex is brilliant, of course, and this is the perfect jacket for a drizzly day or a heavy rain. We live in Seattle, and this jacket is a must-have."

drig,October 20, 2009
By Drigfrom Dexter, MO
"I used the raincoat for two weeks in Northern Wisconsin cruising timber. It kept me dry and warm when it rained and snowed which it did constantly. It rolled up into a small ball and fit nicely in the back of my crusers vest. It also dried out quickly at night in my tent."

Not waterproof, water "resistant" at best.,October 18, 2009
By thewinesmithfrom Sacramento, CA
"I love the way the jacket feels and looks. I live in northern California where it rains lightly but steadily during the winter. I wanted the jacket for cycling in the rain, its lightweight and the bill and hood work great for wind gusts in the rain.
However, after about a half an our in a light drizzle the jacket sarts to leak. I have been out for an hour or so (with a under armor shirt underneath) and been completly soaked and miserable in the rain. I have worn it approximatly 5 times and been drenched 3 of those times. This jacket is ok if its raining and you want to go from your house out to the car."

paclite parka,September 27, 2009
By LaurentTfrom England
"Not really a parka as mentioned before by previous customers because it is a bit short. This is not a problem for me and I really like it.fully waterproof as advertised since it has been tested here in very wet north west of England.consider a size up if you want to wear anything thick under.Happy with it so far.Just wish we could have a Cabelas store here in Europe!"

paclite rainy river parka,September 12, 2009
By villagesmithyfrom Walworth, NY
"don't like zipper pockets or the position of the pockets. the coat is a little too short. Would like it about 3" longer. The old ones had a zipper and a snap, this only a zipper. I liked the snap. But definately worth the money."

BassMasters,August 24, 2009
By BassMastersfrom NJ
"I bought these pants because of the great reviews. The reviews were correct. My wife and I just got back from Thousand Islands Canada where the rain suit was put to the test ( I also purchased the pants to match ). We were caught in a very heavy downpour. We would have continued to fish but we heard thunder in the distance. So I fired up the motor on the bass boat and went full throttle in the torrential rain. In heavy rain and driving 60 mph I stayed completely dry. The suit is also breathable and didn’t make me overheat. GREAT PRODUCT!"

Nice Jacket,August 5, 2009

"I actually bought (and returned) three rainsuits before I found this one. Jacket is great, stood up to 23 day wilderness trip this summer. The pants are too long, but kept me dry."

Pefect weight for summer wear,July 29, 2009
By lmairsfrom An island in the Great South Bay Long Island, NY
"I've lusted for high quality, light weight rain gear for a long time. This gear is "almost" perfect. It is cool to wear in the summer rains; however, I can not figure out how to get the head cover to fit tight and let me see better than straight down.
My son tired to steal this and he had no problem with restricted visibility, so I must be doing something wrong"

By vtroutfrom va/nc mountains
"had a jacket from another outfitter for 15 yrs. wanted to reorder from them but they no longer carried the item. looked at other options but knew i hit the jackpot when i clicked on your site and was pleased that your jacket was not only gore-tex but cheaper than the "new and improved" jacket from the other store. great jacket - look forward to wearing this for at least 15+ years."

"One word...Amazing. At first I was unsure of what to think about a paclite gore-tex jacket. But it really does work (although it doesn't make sense to me how it can be so light) Quality Product! Highly Recommend!"

Cabella's GORE-TEX PacLite Rainy River Parka,June 30, 2009
By Ruesterfrom Peterborough, New Hampshire
"The best priced GORE-TEX parka on the market as well as the best made. It's detailing is superb and it's wind proof as well as water proof. I sweat a lot and must wear GORE-TEX or risk becoming wetter underneath a waterproof parka than I would if I just stood in the rain! This parka solves that problem beautifully. I have already recommended it to a friend who is in the market for such a rain parka. Thanks, Cabella's!"

Great waterproof value for the money,June 22, 2009
By Supranaturalfrom New Jersey
"I have a Guidewear Gore-Tex parka but it's too heavy (i.e., warm) for summer use such as surprise showers in the tropics so I needed a jacket that didn't take up a lot of room to pack. This fit the bill, is lightweight, easy to put into my boat backpack, and easy to pack as part of my carry-on for the airlines. My wife used her as an outer shell for hiking in Ukraine in the winter and it worked beautifully. I've used it in the Keys, will have it with me in Mexico for big game fishing, and also keep it in m backpack for general use instead of an umbrella."

Gore-Tex Paclite Rainy River Parka,June 22, 2009
By Orion1952from Fort Collins, CO
"I purchased the orange Gore-Tex Paclite Rainy River Parka to carry during flyfishing trips. The dependable Gore-Tex material along with it's light weight and ease in packing made it the best choice. I used it staight out of the box on a fly fishing trip to northern Saskatchewan for Northern Pike. It was still early spring conditions during the second week in June and the parka was not only a good rain jacket but a warm cover over a fleece jacket to contend with the 30+ degree mornings. My partner had the same jacket in yellow and the bright colors provide good visibility if you run into motor trouble on those huge Canadian lakes and need to signal for help.
Thanks, Bill"

"It's the best! Super light weight, and warm if I start out with just a t-shirt on a warm day that eventually turns rainy and cool. The windbreak feature works like a charm. And I don't sweat with it on as the temp rises after the rain clears out. It's the best!"
