"Yes this case is amazing! beautiful welding and easy to tote, a little weighty with a couple of high caliber rifles decked out, but carried all my ammo (50 lbs in two .50 cal cans +more) strapped to the outside shelf. It nice to see everyone love it at the range if not jealous, I may need to dirty it up... they might really like it... too much!!! Even carry's my M91/30 Mosin Nagant with added length of pull! "I bought one of the heavy duty .080 ones with the wheels and carrier,I brought 2 scoped rifles in it back to England with me,the one thing that i noticed that the case will not stand on it long side (like a suit case) it will only stand up on end with luggage strapped to it,even if you lean it against a wall you had better place it backwards as the wheels do the trick and the case slithers down the wall.Having said all that, i got one dent from Delta airlines,but my rifles were just as i had put them in and were still zeroed. I havnt had any problems with the catches like other people talk about. If you have expensive rifles that you want to tote about the world GET ONE OF THESE."

"The overall quality of this product appears to be great. However, the latches on the case are not manufactured well. The initial case that I received had to be returned because one of the four latches was broken when the box arrived. Other than the latches, the case appears to be made better than any that I have seen. However, the manufacturing process for the latches needs improvement. Otherwise, I love the other features of the case, the price was reasonable and the service from Cabela's was great."

"I purchased the heavier duty bullet proof two rifle case with wheels to carry to South Dakota on a mule deer hunt. I was very impressed with the ease of use especially with the walk from my car through the airport to the check in and then back again after the hunt was over. You simply flip down the luggage rack and pile all your hunting bags on top. It works just like a two wheeler. The foam inside is very soft and it will easily mold to your scope, binoculars, gun, knife, shells, etc...This is not one of the thin walled cheap gun cases that you are use to seeing...its tough and I am extremely pleased."

"This is kind of a sad review for me to write. Not because of any flaws in this case, but because this case is an exact replacement for my first one that was stolen. The first one I bought from Cabela's(where else?)and had it for a couple years. In that time, I had flown all over the US; pigs and cats in Texas, Elk in Montana, lions in New Mexico and even taken it to Canada on a spring bear hunt. So it had some miles on it,along with airline tags and stickers, dents and dings, each a part of a bigger story. This new case will have some ways to go to catch up, but I'll try and do my part. You need to be prepared when you buy this case, wierd things happen. Total strangers will walk up and start talking to you. In airports, hotel lobbies, diners...everywhere you go! They will think you are a rock star,(guitars? well maybe the way I look had something to do with that, long-haired and tattooed)a special mechanic(long tools? I didn't understand that one), and when they find out there are GUNS in there...Well you know the story from there, some became my new best friends and we swapped stories and they went off to buy one of these. And we don't much care what the others think...do we. So...the thieves must have noticed the quality, and you can bet I'll never settle for anything less. I'm headed back to Africa next year and have no doubt that this case will keep my rifles perfectly safe! Live long, hunt hard, life is too short not to!"

"A recent trip to Newfoundland was the ultimate test of the Bullet Proof Aluminum case.The case was not transferred between flights and was knocked about and shipped from Canada to Florida twice before I got it back.In spite of a couple of dents and lots of scratches,the two rifles and three knives were safe and undamaged.I won't travel with any other case again."

"I bought this case for the extra protection that the heavy duty version offerd and although I have not had a chance to use it yet, it appears to be exactly what it was supposed to be. The foam holds the guns firmly in place and the heavy guage metal looks like it can withstand anything the airlines can throw at it. The only problem that I see is that the rivits on the top latches are expossed when the case is locked. Therefore, anyone with a cordless drill can have the case open in no time. I think the laches should have been set up to cover the rivets when the case is locked - making it harder to break into. Other than that, it appears to be a quality product and I can't wait to use it to take my Pro Hunter to Illinois."

"This case is worth every penny. Just sit and watch luggage getting loaded and think of what your firearm is going through. After my flight, both guns were dead on. "I purchased my Bullet-Proof case at the Cabelas store in Buda Texas. I flew into Austin with two shotguns, lots of ammo and a very expensive hunting knife packed in a plastic case. When I got to my destination, the case was broken and one of the locks was missing. By some miracle my gear was not lost. I went to Cableas and explained my problem. They recommended the bullet proof case with the wheels, and the fold-out shelf. What a fantastic product. I transferred my guns and gear into the bullet-proof case in the parking lot and tossed the plastic one in a nearby dumpster. I have put this thing through the ringer and it never fails. On my last traveling hunting trip, one of my buddies saw my bullet-proof case, and since we were in Austin, Texas we made a fast trip to the Cabelas in Budda and he got one too. He left his old case behind at the hunting lodge! If you are going to fly with guns, the bullet-proof case is worth is weight in gold. Don't consider anything else. You put your gear in there and it is SAFE, period."

"Cabela's "Bullet Proof" Two-Rifle Case exhibits superior strength and features while also providing the protection I expect for my rifles and shotguns. Airline travel is the most punishing but at times, unavoidable way to transport your firearms. On a recent trip, my new case arrived with a dent that resembled the business end of a forklift, my only shotgun was inside, in perfect condition.
The outer shell is heavy gauge aluminum with welded seams. Handles are spring loaded, holding them tight into the case when not in use which helps make sure they get there at baggage claim too. The locking system consists of two stainless rods inserted thru the latches that are designed to be secured by paddle locks. Wheels are slightly recessed which means they don't get in the way when you want to carry the case.
It is sized to fit two rifles or shotguns with thick foam padding that holds your firearm secure so they won't move when the case is closed eliminating the possibliy of scratches.
I have owned at least a dozen cases which have quickly become destroyed. I believe I will get many years of service from this product."
