Heavy-duty closed-end rivets attach hinges, latches, handles and rigid internal dividers without letting in dust or
moisture. They have top-quality, full-length piano hinges, along with plated steel latches, and a stainless steel locking
rod system. The large grip handle is spring-loaded to automatically return to recessed area. A weather seal keeps out
moisture, and dense, thick urethane foam cradles and protects your firearms and gear. And the built-in wheels are

Incredible Case,May 18, 2009

"I am a Weapons Tech/Armorer by trade and I build custom rifles for the Military, Law Enforcement, and the Sportsman. Now having said that, I was on my way to Colorado for a military conference with the company I work for to set up a booth with custom rifles. I landed at the Airport and made my way to retrieve my rifles at baggage claim and as I was waiting and watching for my Cabelas Bullet Proof 3 gun case to come around on the over sized vertical baggage carrousel which has slots about 2ft wide x 7ft tall, constructed of stainless steel, fiberglass and rubber, my Bullet Proof case made it's way around and fell over and got hung at the bottom of the carrousel in the corner turn and broke 6 of the baggage slots I described earlier and fiberglass was going everywhere and stainless steel was getting crushed and so was my case. The Bullet Proof case literally shut down the carrousel and the lights went out and the power shut off. The carrousel stopped dead in it's tracks. It took 45 minutes, 5 maintenance men and two-6 ft pry bars to get my case unstuck. I almost had a heart attack watching this happen because the 3 rifles I had in the case were worth $45,000 and I had not even made it to the conference yet. I knew that my rifles were destroyed but when I was able to open my case I was shocked to find that there was not even a scratch on any of my rifles. Thanks Cabelas for stocking an incredible product. This case is worth it's weight in Diamonds. The Airline is going to replace my case so I am buying another Cabelas Bullet Proof 3 rifle case."

"I have used this case twice to Africa and it stood up very well to airline handling. I packed a .375 Ruger, a 270 Winchester and a 500 S&W pistol, 2 cleaning rods and brushes with space to spare. All the weapons were scoped and all of them stayed secure through both trips. I am now planning on buying the 3 rifle version for my next trip to Zimbabwe to include a 416 Rigby, a 300 WinMag and an over/under shotgun as well as the 500 S&W."

"Overall this is a very good product. It protects the firearms very well and is big enough to include some ammo etc. It does weigh something like 34lbs, so when you add firearms it becomes "overweight" for domestic air travel. The airlines have added a couple of dents to mine, but everything inside was fine. I will be adding a support bar to the center of the case."

"My husband and I purchased this case for a recent hunting trip to Namibia. We were pleased with the sturdy construction and safe ride it offered our guns. Another couple we met at the hunting lodge had also just purchased the same case for this trip. My husband used a handheld engraver to put our name/address on the case and it worked quite well. It stood up well to 8 airline transfers including international and domestic baggage handlers."
"Across town or around the planet this is the best. The peace of mind in moving from the range to the hunt is wonderful. The wheels are great."

"This is an excellent product. I purchased this case for an airline travel experience. I found the case large enough for two guns, scopes, knives, and even ammo. The case was very strong and easily withstood the baggage handler's efforts. My only criticism was that the case had a tendency to wobble while rolling on the wheels. Perhaps wider wheel spacing would help this minor concern."
