"The bullet proof gun case stands up to the airline punishment very well. Case comes through with dents and dings every time but the guns are fine, stay sighted in and the locking mechanism is as strong as it gets. The price is reasonable considering the cargo inside."

"i purchased the break-down shot-gun case in 2000, and this gun case is not as good. it appears to be a less quality aluminum as the thickness is the same - as far as i can tell. the new case easily dents compared to the older case. for what i paid for it and to ship it, given the quality comparison to my older case, i am disappointed in it. but, what can one do? it is still the best gun case on the market, which is why i would recommend it to a friend even though i rated it as "fair.""

"The case itself is of very heavy duty aluminum construction with thick padding. One of the faults I have seen with it is that Cabela's put it's logo on the case by the handle. The problem with this is that they use something that looks like pop rivets and they stick out into the case itself and could be a source of scratching or marring of the gun or scope surface should the case recieve rough handeling. It should be redone with a heavy duty adhesive to elminate these protrusions. The second corection I would make is to add individual locks to the case as well as the single lockable bar. Other than that I found that my rifles traveled well to their destination."

"Albeit I haven't traveled with the case, it does look sturdier and more durable than my last case. My last case was destroyed by the airlines on the first flight I took. My hunting buddy has this case, and he suggested I upgrade. I'm fairly certain this one will not be destroyed; his has survived two trips to Africa and two trips to S. Dakota."

"Great gun case. A couple of things I am not crazy about are the double rods, at the airport it is a hassle two have to unlock both sides. Because of the double rods you now have to buy two locks. Not a good idea, go back to one rod. There is no reason for two rods."

"Good case, needs steel corner gaurds. The airport personal managed to knock a small hole in the corner of the case. No damage to firearms so I guess it did its job. It may be bulletproof, but it is not airport proof."

"I have only just recieved this item, but it will get a good field test as I am leaving for a waterfowl hunt in Alberta on Wednesday September 26th and I know this case will get a true test of it's durability between the airport handlers and in the field.
All in all I like the appearence of this case along with the wheels for easy towing, the watertight gasket and plenty of foam for gun protection. The sliding rod locking mechinism is nice as well."
