"The first pair of Danners my wife bought are still going today after 15 years. My grandson is using my old pair now. This new pair worked very well during elk season this year and my feet never got cold. Very satisfied with these Danner boots."

Left Me Hanging,November 9, 2009
By LikeEmfrom South Dakota
"I bought these before a mule deer hunt in the Wyoming Rockies. The boots were comfortable right out of the box. They worked well until I got into the steep terrain. One of the boots worked flawlessly while the other one dug into my foot on top near the ankle. I gave it a couple of days and no improvement. I traded them for my Danner 453 GTX hikers. Luckily there was no snow, and my feet felt wonderful from then on. I would have given these boots a high rating if the one boot hadn't driven me to pain. After 4 days in the field there was some excessive scuffing on the toe of the boots also. I am going to look into something a little more durable. If you are flat land hunting these boots are great."

Light warm comfortable boots.,November 2, 2009
By LilBundyfrom Madison,WI
"Proof is in the wearing. I wear a large boot size 13 and I feel like I have tennis shoe weight boot that is built well and the perfect balance of stiffness and warmth in a boot. I have the same Danner Pronghorn boot in a 400 gram all leather boot I wear for work. All I can say is my feet are finally comfortable after long days at work or in the woods. Danner has some great technology in their Pronghorn boots. I'm a little disappointed that these are imported but the boots are made very well and I expect them to last for years to come. I have only one pair of feet and know at the end of the week these work as hard as I do and without having to think about my feet."

Great Boot!!!,October 23, 2009
By AdamInUtahfrom Utah
"I was out Hunting, And When I say Hunt, I mean all over terrain, 15 mile hikes over snow, Dead fall, rocks and mountains, Literally, No Bull. I went Elk Hunting the first week, In the Uintas of Utah, And the Second week I went Deer Hunting at a little lower altitude (Still Uintahs). My feet never once got cold, I got not a single blister. And after all the hiking I did I expected my feet to be sore, They never were. As I said before I hiked through 2 foot snow, I walked through a freezing river that cocered the majority of my boot, I never got wet or Cold. Definiately spend the extra cash and buy these boots. Next trip ICE Fishing In Minnesota this winter."

foot funeral,October 20, 2009
By Damjumperfrom Northern Michigan
"My feet died and went to heaven. So far it has only gotten down to 10 degrees, but my feet stayed warm and dry even after crossing a beaver pond at pre-dawn and sitting in a ground blind for over three hours. I bought my first pair of Danner boots in 1990 while stationed in Germany. I recently purchased the Pronghorns for a trip to Montana. I am glad to see that the quality has not changed."

Spend the extra money,October 18, 2009
By hogbuyer94from Eastern, KS
"I had oringinally tried these on and didn't buy them and went with a cheaper pair. When I got home and walked around the house the more I walked the less I like them. I took them back to try something else, and went with the Pronghorns. They are lightweight, very warm, and DRY. This may be hard to believe but they have a zero break-in period. Save your self some time and spend the extra for these boots as they are more than worth it!"

You never know what to expect,October 14, 2009
By rockcandyranch
"I am not proud of the fact that the only time I wore my Danner Pronghorn Boots prior to my Idaho Elk hunting trip was on the sales floor at my local Cabalas’ outlet store. I understood the risks involved, but like most of you, just ran out of time as the preparation for the trip exceeded anything I had imagined. The good news is my boots exceeded anything I had imagined they would be as well. No break in was required what so ever. I put them on when I arrived at camp and went hunting! I found the boots to be incredibly comfortable, well insulated throughout and completely waterproof. The only thing I would caution another purchaser, is unless you will be using these boots in a constant VERY COLD climate (10 degrees or less), purchase your boots by sizing them with only one pair of quality socks; they are WELL INSULATED! I logged 64.5 miles in 11 days wearing these boots navigating all types of terrain and could not be happier with my purchase. The only time they we’re off of my feet the entire trip was at night when I crawled into my sleeping bag. Kudos to the folks at Danner for producing a performance boot for the outdoorsman."

Danner Pronghorn boots,March 17, 2009
By kolynn01from Michigan
"These boots allow you to set in your deer blind from an hour before dawn until after dark with no problem. The temperature in Michigan during hunting seasons varies greatly and the Danner boots allow you the ability to set without moving and staying warm in the worst of weather. This is my second pair and will remain my boot of choice until they quit making them."

Worked as advertised,March 3, 2009
By AlaskaKenfrom Anchorage, Alaska
"Danner has been my boot of choice for some years. I bought this pair for hiking and snowshoeing jaunts lasting multiple days at temperatures in the -20 to -30 range. I wear two pair of light wool socks. The fit and ease of break in are excellent. The only feature that I really dislike about the boots are the hooks above the eyelets. They are too small. This makes lacing the boots more of a chore than it needs to be. Other than that these boots work as advertised."

Danner pronghorn 1000 gram boots,February 11, 2009

"Bought for construction work outside. The first day an outer layer of the toe had peeled off. Not very warm. They are a month old and look like they are 10 years old. I have had work boots for 2 years and they look better than these after one month. Very dissappointed."

Great boots,January 23, 2009
By Anonymousfrom state college, pa
"Great Boots. VERY warm. I don't have cold feet though and these are my first insulated boots. wore them in PA late flintlock, COLD, 0-20 and not a problem at all. A little stiff on the shin, but broke in excellent. The ringlets are small for the laces, but I have small fingers and I'm not that picky. I LOVE these boots comfort, walked MILES in them without sore feet. Not duck-blind boots, but waterproof for me (snow, ice, no problems). Walked up and down mountains after a really really bad ice storm and they slipped a lot, but they're so sturdy and well made I have no tears, no rolled ankles, no complaints. Again...great boot and would highly recommend them for the money. Get em on sale and you'll be thinking you stole em!"

Worth their weight,January 21, 2009
By JP7MMfrom Pipestem, WV GO MOUNTAINEERS
"I'm 60+ years young and have worn about every manufactures brand hunting boots one can name. Believe me the Pronghorn 1000 gm is the finest that have ever surrounded my feet. I hunt better than a hundred days a year in all types of weather conditions and these boots give me great traction on wet, soggy, icy, and snow covered ground. These boots are light in weight and do not stress the leg muscles. My son and son-in-law both have purchased this boot and they report the same findings. Do yourself a favor and try them, you won't be sorry and you won't have tired sore feet at the end of a long day's hunt."
