Great Boots,

"This boot is my 3rd pair and they are great. They are well made and will keep your feet warm and dry. These boots don't have a deep cleat sole that will hang on sharp edges in my work. They are easy to clean off when I go inside and that makes my wife happy and when she is happy I'm happy too."

Soles Thin,

"these are OK. they required little break in.
the only fault is the soles are a little thin. I suspected this was where the weight was saved in the boots and I was correct. I think better insoles will help--but you may not like walking on a lot of rocky or rough ground."

"the roughneck plain toe work boot is the best I have ever worn on my ranch. I have weak ankles so the boot is good and snug and stays dry. In Louisiana that is a good boot."

Worn out in seven months,

"After reading all the recommendations I thought I'd give these boots a chance. I'm very disappointed in them. They started leaking right away and within seven months the leather pulled away from the sole making a big hole. These boots may be cheaper than most but I didn't find them very comfortable and in a little over half a year they are junk."

"I work for a city DPW and have had this pair for over one year. It may not seem long but, these boots have seen it all. I use them for water main and sewer main breaks so they are under water and other alot of time with no leaks. I work in michigan, so they see there share of road salt. nothing seems to phase these boots. I would recommend to anyone. GREAT BOOTS!!!"

"A great boot for me. I prefer waterproof but uninsulated as I work indoors and out, continuously back and forth (Maine). I have worn these boots about a dozen times and have observed no problems. I wore them once in snow up to my upper thighs for about an hour and my feet stayed dry and warm."

"Only rarely does a boot fit like a glove the moment you put it on for the first time. Even more rare does it continue to fit that way. This boot did that for me.....and continues to be one of my favorite pairs to put on. I bought a pair for my dad over the holidays.....and when he put them on, the same thing happened to him. He tells me about how much he likes those boots every time we talk. 5 stars - period - Buy these boots. Lightweight, Glove-like fit, soft sole with a cushioned step---making all-day wear a pleasure. I have nothing bad to say."

"the Best pair of boots I've ever bought. Had them for almost two years, putting them through salt water, swamps, knee high wet grass and my feet never got wet. After two years of wear and tear the souls still had all the tread on them. If a Pair of boots can survive Land Surveying in the sunshine state I'd put them to the test anywhere."

Cabelas Roughneck Gore-tex Work Boots- 8",

"Just bought my second pair of the Cabela's 8" Roughneck Gore Tex boots a few weeks back. Working at a golf course I am in dew and /or water pretty much every morning. I also wear these boots in the winter during the rain and snow and I wear them around the yard at home and for fishing so they get a lot of miles on them. The first pair lasted about 2 years and only started leaking when they finally had some holes worn in the uppers. The soles look almost new. The first pair took a while to break in, but this new pair (I went a 1/2 size bigger) felt like I had been wearing them for a long time. Hard to find gore tex at this price and with a non agressive sole and small heel that can be used on the golf course. I will buy them again when these wear out. Thanks."

"I have purchased these boots for a second time and am absolutly satisfied with them. With other boots I was wearing, I was buying 2-3 pair a year, with my last pair of "Roughneck" boots thats all I had to buy until recently. These boots have good traction for concrete, rock and dirt while keeping your feet dry and comfortable. I will continue to purchase these boots."

"Great boots at a reasonable price. Wore them around the house for a week to break em in, then off to work we go. I work on concrete all day and even wear them around the house for yard work or while fishing. These are the most comfortable boots iv'e ever had. There already a year old and show very little signs of wear. I honestly expect them to last another year or so at this rate. Hope Cabellas has them in 09 cause I plan on buying another pair then."

"have had these a few months now and i wear them every day to work. they broke in quickly, and are very comfortable. they even look better in person than they do on the website. (my humble opinion) my only complaint is that i wish they had a little more substantial insole with a bit more arch support for those of us that have a higher arch. but with some better insoles these are great boots with all day comfort. for the price, i was very impressed!"
