"These boots fit great and keep my feet warm. I was a little worried after reading some of the other reviews, but went ahead and ordered them anyway. The only reason I can't give them a 5 is I have only wore them a few times, and can't speak for their longevity yet. So far so good."

"First of all I hate wearing boots, but needed a pair for a recent hunt. The Cabelas Whitetail Extreme 600 Gram with Gore-Tex Scent Lok boots really made the trip a success. The weather was cold and snowy and for the most part miserable. The boots broke in easy and were warm and comfortable every day. Great quality, comfort and price."

"I really liked this boot because I went out west hunting & did not have alot of time to break them in. I bet I walked 7 to 10 miles a day for 5 days & they worked like a dream.The boot is very light & when your out west that means alot.It was'nt very cold this year & I really wanted to see how the boot was in the cold & snow but I would recommend this boot to anybody that has to do alot of walking."

"Great boots... but for a gore-tex product it is loosy... first year a bit of humidity, the 2nd year it became a flood. From the reviews seems to be a recurring problem. Discontinue product if it has not yet been fixed."

"I spent extra cash hoping for a good hunting boot. I took them turkey hunting and the first time I wore them through water my feet got wet. They are light and very comfortable, but they leak. Every time I got in water my feet got wet, so I'm taking them back."

"I am on my second pair of these boots. Had to send the first pair in after 1 year due to water leakage but Cabelas replaced them at no charge to me. Second pair worked fine and is holding up well. Best thing about these boots is the break in period is almost non-existant. Had mine for a week before going out west on a mountain mule deer hunt. No blisters, or raw spots. Held up well in the shale. Will buy another pair soon!!! Thanks for a great product."

"Have used these boots a couple of times now and they are like wearing tennis shoes. Very comfortable. Used them in water almost over the boots and my feet stayed completely dry, which is more than I can say for the other people with me. Very pleased with these boots and would highly recommend them."

"I bought these boots for an elk hunt in december at my local Cabelas. I went in and told the sales woman that I was looking for a new pair of pack boots for my hunt. From the get go, she wanted to know what conditions I was hunting in,the terain, the temperature range etc. After finding out what I wanted in a boot of this nature, she recomended these boots hands down. She went so far as to say I would love the performance of these boots, and boy was she right on the money. They have great traction, tremendous warmth, that you can customize with various layers of a moisture wicking sock and good wool socks, great ankle support, and an added bonus of scent lok protection. They kept my feet warm and dry and on the ground in steep terrain from predawn to well after dark. GREAT BOOTS!"

"I bought a pair of these two seasons ago, about half way thru the bow season, the boots began to leak in water. I took them back to Cabela's where they replaced them free of charge. Now this last season the second pair began leaking again just like the first pair. The best thing is that Cabelas gladly returned the second pair where I have now gone with a totally different boat. Hope to not have the same troubles as these!!!"

"I think this is a great product that Cabelas will never have a problem selling. The boots are great and they work. The 600 gram insulation keep my feet toasty warm while the gore-tex kept my feet dry as a bone. The Scent-Lok worked as well. I had three does come right up the trail I came in on in the morning without ever batting an eye. Keep it up Cablelas. Your products are great!"

"these boots are fantastic. the first time i used them was in bear season and i didnt get a chance to break them in. well our bear season was rough there was snow, rocks, cold weather and the boots aced it. they are excellent for walking also and i proved it on those rocks and snow. overall the boots were fantastic and i would recomend these boots to anyone."

"The Whitetail Extremes are a great pair of boots. They feel like a well broken in pair of sneakers right out of the box. Light and very good waterproofness.
This is my second pair of Extremes. The old pair is still in very servicable condition but encountered a few to many thorns in 4 1/2 years of hard bowhunting so waterproofness is gone.
I would recommend this boot to anyone who spends a lot of time in the field or timber hiking to deer stands"

"I have a pair of Meindl's(from Cabela's) I wore for 13yrs. Dont know how many miles they covered, but they never let me down. The molded sole fell apart and nobody can fix them. So in a pinch, I ordered these boots. They run ~1/2 size smaller than Meindl's. These boots required no break in period with the majority of fabrication out of nylon. These boots certainly don't have the foot and ankle support of higher end boots. I have had these boots in wet conditions and they seem to be holding up at this point. Until, I get a chance to truly replace the Meindl's these boots seem to be reasonable for the money, but are a longshot from highend serious hunting boots."
