Cabela's 6-Point Boot,
October 21, 2009
By farmboy40
from Lancaster, PA
|
"This boot is comfortable, warm and waterproof. This has been an excellent boot for early season bow hunting. From 39 degrees and rain to 65 degrees and sunny. Finally Cabala's is carrying larger sizes. They tend to carry some size 14. However, as the grams of insulation goes up, the boot doesn't get wider. Therefore the boot tends to be tighter on the foot which actually reduces the efficacy of the insulation. This is a 14 wide and fits well. I would highly recommend."

Good fall hunting and hiking boots,
October 15, 2009
By MooseHunter17
|
"I really like these boots, it is my second pair, i gave my first pair to my father in law for his birthday. I use these boots for hunting moose in northern Ontario. 600 weight is good for fall and hiking but not sitting for long periods of time. Great ankle support, water resitance. The only negative I have is the putting the boot on is tuff, I believe the tung hole is a little too small. It gets better as the boot gets worked in. Nice tread."

Good Product,

By Laramiel

"I like boots with the D-rings as these boots have. I only wore the boots twice, but they were comfortable and kept me warm down to the mid 20's. I wear the Cabela Guide socks in all of my boots. When it get colder I have heavier boots that I wear. Cannot commit on durability until I wear them more."

Hunting Boots work as advertised,
February 3, 2009
By neilbsc
from South Carolina
|
"The Cabelas 6 Point 600 gram hunting boots are perfect for moderate temperate zones. My first hunt (after a proper break-in period) with them was on a frosty morning with temperatures hovering around 20. I was comfortable all day long even though I stepped through ice on several mudholes.
I did learn that upon returning home that night it was necessary to replace the laces with a different material. The factory laces had considerable stretch in them, forcing me to re-tie a several times on the hunt to retain a tight fit.
Otherwise these are great boots and I expect good wear out of them in the future."

Opening of boot way to small,
December 30, 2008
By DoubleEdgeRanch
from Malin, OR
|
"These boots were for my 13 year old boy, once he got them on he liked them, but it was the fight to get them on and off that he hated, the opening to the boot does not allow your foot to go in or out easily. I knew he would never wear them if it took this much time (about 10 minutes per foot) to get them on and off, so they are going back."

Great Hunting Boots,
December 30, 2008
By DutchISU
from Iowa
|
"These are a great pair of boots. I might have gone a bit over board with 600 gram but sure am glad to have it on the 20 below zero degree days. I use them hunting and working outdoors. The sole is a bit stiff but still very comfortable to wear and walk. The only change suggested would be is to have hooks instead of eyelets for the laces. Takes a bit to get all laced up. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another pair. A heck of a boot for the price."

High quality, not high priced,
December 2, 2008
By HappyHunterWI08
from NorthwesternWI
|
"I needed to replace a retired pair of 3rd season boots. I shopped around and tried many different manufacturers, styles and price ranges. While not sold on any offerings locally, I did a search on this site. The description fit my desires and the "we'll make it right" policy talked me into giving them a try. The store to door delivery was about a week ahead of promised via standard shipping. I read the enclosed materials and took them for a walk. At the end of a 10 minute test drive, I walked to my checkbook and paid the tab. The boots look good, walk great and took me deer hunting. I'd buy them again. Thanks Cabela's."

By Hunemup

"I purchased these boots to wear while deer hunting. I have not wore them hunting yet but have wore them to mow the lawn a couple of times. They are kind of stiff and narrow for my wide foot, but I hope they will loosen up the more I wear them. All and all not a bad boot for the money. I have always purchased Rocky boots in the past and think I will do so in the future."

By nchunterdude

"I have worn these boots a few times and already I can tell they are great quality boots for this low of a price. They are fairly light, comfortable, and stable. I have walked through rain, creeks, and hoses, and my feet stayed 100% dry. These are nice boots and I would recommend them to anyone"

Good hunting boot,
October 13, 2008
By rubilocal
|
"I recently used these during a mid west hunt, I had little time to break them in and found them to be comfortable and warm. They worked great while on stand but were a little heavy for the five + miles of stalking a day. The boots flexed well and have great traction. I would recommend them if you are stand hunting or doing light stalking."

hunting boots,

By beneliboys

|
"These boots are awesome. I bought them for my 12 year old son and he loved them from the time he took them out of the box. They are very comfortable, very warm, and surprisingly light for such a big hunting boot. They do look somewhat bulky on his feet but he insists that they are the most comfortable shoe he has ever owed and that they are easy to walk in. Overall, we are very pleased with this purchase. Cant wait to see how they hold up in the tough Nebraska cover this winter."
