Our Microtex jacket is as soft and quiet as fleece, and it is as tough as denim and sheds burs, seeds and leaves.
Virtually no other fabric remains as quiet while withstanding the punishment that a season's worth of contact with
heavy brush, wire fences and other in-the-field obstacles can deliver. The key to the unmatched strength and silence
of this combed polyester material comes from its low-nap, incredibly tight, microweave construction. It also dries
quickly, is breathable and is extremely wind-resistant. Best of all, it won't fade even after repeated washings,
guaranteeing the camo pattern and garment look like new for many seasons to come. The Bowhunter's Jacket has
two super-large (10-1/2" x 10") zippered cargo pockets to keep all your essentials secured and within easy reach,
and slash handwarmer pockets keep fingers warm. Set-in sleeves allow you the freedom you need to draw a bow or
climb to your treestand. The jacket also has a license tag loop on back and a heavy-duty YKK® zipper.
Imported.

nice light jacket, quiet,September 30, 2009
By Anonymousfrom Windsor, Colorado
"I wore this jacket over the Cabela's outfitters fleece windshear vest on my muzzle loader deer hunt in Colorado. I stayed plenty warm. The jacket seemed to be very quiet, which was nice. It also cut the wind pretty well. The temperatures in the morning were about 40F. The only thing I didn't really like was the elastic bottom, which seemed to be a little tight. Overall, I really like the jacket for moderate weather conditions."

good product,September 21, 2009
By salvelinusconfluentusfrom Alberta
"Have had my jacket on for at least 100 field days and a couple dozen washes so far and am very impressed with the material. The microtex is quiet, warm, reasonably water and wind resistant yet still highly breathable; in addition, after many cycles in the wash, the camo pattern has not seemed to fade at all. With appropriate layering, i've hunted in all but the very coldest weather with this jacket, for anything from high mountain bighorn sheep to arid prairie antelope. The jacket is not without its design flaws, however: -The flap for the main zipper broke last year, not a big deal but still annoying. -The fit seems to be designed for a shorter, portly individual as the girth is rather baggy, while the top-down dimensions are rather short. On the flipside, this can be an advantage when really layering up. -The more the material is washed, the "fuzzier" it gets. While this does not affect the aforementioned weatherproof and stealthy qualities of the jacket, it does compromise its ability to shed burrs."

Cabela's Microtex Jacket,September 17, 2009
By Bigajeemfrom Hatfield, Pennsylvania
"Very good in warm/ hot weather (adding or removing a shirt as temperatures require). With heavy morning due and after a rainy night it was somewhat water resistant. Plenty of pocket space in the right locations. Comfortable and quiet."

microtex bowhunters uninsulated jacket,August 27, 2009
By tuckcastfrom PA
"I was disappointed with the length of the sleeves (too short), the overall length - waist high - was too short and offered no protection to the kidney area especially when sitting in a stand. The overall fit in the chest area was too tight. I went by the sizing chart and ordered a large to fit my 42" chest. I expected a little more room to move. This is going back."

Excellent outer shell,August 25, 2009
By YooperCallerfrom NM
"I have owned this jacket, in Mossy Oak Breakup, for many seasons now. It has become my do-all outer shell for cooler weather hiking, scouting, turkey hunting, and elk hunting. It is not waterproof, of course, but is repellent enough to wear on wet/dewy mornings and to withstand intermittent sprinkling. The large front pockets are perfect for carrying stocking caps, gloves, a GPS, maps, etc. They are very roomy. I've used this jacket quite a bit and it is still in perfect condition. The fabric is extremely durable, cleans easily (just brush it off), and is dead quiet. Sizing is good for me. I typically wear a large, and large is what worked for me in this jacket. It is comfortable with minimal under layers or with much layering for cold weather."

Buy over size,August 24, 2009
By baydenocfisherfrom Cadillac,Mich.
"I normally wear a size XL coat but after the problem with the size issue on the pants I ordered a 2XL and I'm glad I did. Other than the sizes run small I like the quality and feel I will enjoy the jacket this fall ."

Good Buy,August 24, 2009
By MBuck7from Owosso, MI
"Have not worn it in the field yet - but was looking for a lightweight softshell jacket to be worn to New Mexico this September. Well made, well designed. I had previously purchased microtex pants/shirt. The jacket has a lining on the inside instead of the microtex material, a plus in my opinion. roomy pockets - I normally order a size large/tall with Cabelas clothes, though this didn't offer a tall version, so I got an XL and it works, with room for a few layers underneath. Especially considering the sale price - seems to be a great purchase."

Not what I wanted,August 4, 2009
By 2dabuckfrom Northern Wisconsin
"I returned this garment for two reasons: first of all I made the mistake of thinking it was Scentlok lined, it wasn't and secondly, I didn't like the tight elastic waistband. I really like the Microtex fabric and I own several other garments with this material. I also liked the Mossy Oak Treestand camo pattern. I just wish that the jacket was what I thought it would be."

Improved Camo Pattern,July 14, 2009
By bows60arrows29from Colorado Springs, CO
"I first purchased a complete set (pants and jacket) of Microtex Seclusion 3D camo about 3 years ago. While I love the performance of the fabric itself, I have been disappointed since day one that the camo pattern was basically green, dark and with little contrast. Because I take extended two week archery elk hunts, I ordered a second pair of Microtex pants last fall and was pleasantly surprised to see that the Seclusion 3D camo printing was much improved. I then ordered this latest uninsulated jacket and like the pants last fall, the camo pattern is much improved over the Microtex set I purchased originally. Cabelas you are doing a better job a printing Seclusion 3D with multiple colors and improved contrast. Obviously, I wish the original set looked like my new set."

Great in between season jacket,July 6, 2009
By TradArcherfrom California, Santa Cruz Mountains
"Microtex will last longer than you think, and continues to look good and perform as claimed. There are far more expensive fabrics and garments out there that do not live up to their claims. This stuff will not dissappoint you."

why are the patters different on some Seclusion 3D,February 3, 2009
By furload
"Hey cabelas, I ordered the microtex jacket Sz L, pants, and hat in sec 3d and the jacket does not match the pants, hat. It appears to be more of a green tinted back round and less crisp defined pattern than the pants and hat are. I ordered one in to the KC store and it was the same unmatching color as the one I recieved from my catalog order. I would like to exchange the one I have for one that matches the pants and hat I have. Any suggestions would be great. Thank you Ryan"

Review 20 for Cabela's Microtex™ Uninsulated Bowhunter's Jacket
"I purchased this as I could not locate my old uninsulated camo jacket for early bow season. Naturally, after I received this new one I found the old one! Nevertheless, I have been wearing this new jacket. The only improvements I can recommend are to make this in tall sizes. I bought mine one size larger and it works fine. Also, the elastic on the sleeves is a little tight. Perhaps an adjustable button sleeve would work better. Otherwise, a good, serviceable garment for fair weather early bow season.
