"I bought the light weight set for hunting in Hawaii, I was looking for something that was easy to carry, light and that would keep me dry in torrential downpours. I have two other gore tex, MT 50 rain gear sets, including one with scent block, however, both sets are too heavy for my needs in Hawaii, and both become soaked after a few hours in heavy rain. I did not have high expectations for this product, but bought it anyway as it at least seemed to be light and easily packable. Yesterday I spent 2 hours in a torrential downpour, purposely standing and working in the rain to test the product before a hunt next week. The product performed flawlessly and remained 100% dry. I highly recomend the product."

"The lightweight raingear that I purchased keeps me totally dry, and I am impressed that I am able to move around and actually forget that I am even wearing it! I just love it! It's the best set that I have ever bought and worth every penney I paid for it.
My only complaint is that the jacket is a pullover style. I prefer one that zips from the bottom."

"I keep the Space Rain Jacket in an extra pocket of my turkey vest. If the spring rains come while I'm out there, I slip the jacket on over the top of my turkey vest. This helps keep me dry as well as my turkey calls. If your going to use the jacket over a turkey vest or over another jacket, I suggest getting one size larger than you normally would. The jacket works so well that I'm hoping to get the packable pants soon too."

"I just purchased this rain suit an a couple of days later I got to try it out. I was hunting in 6 hrs of rain we got about an 1 1/2 that day and it leaked my bottom was soaked. My hunting partner bought the MT050 gortex he got weter than I did. Why advertised 100% waterproof if it's not I plan to send this back to cabelas so is my friend. They can put a man on the moon but they can't make a water proof rain suit."

"This is worth it's weight in gold! I went on a 9 day hunt in the wilderness and got heavey rains most of the time. It held out through the entire trip with no problems of getting wet under neath the rain coat. I told myself everyday it was one of the best things I've ever bought! It is pretty quit too, as I am a bow hunter."

"I bought a set of this rainwear a few years ago to use on my annual elk hunting trip in North Idaho. It kept me dry while walking trails. As soon as I had to get in the brush the stuff fell apart. By the time I got back to camp I looked like I'd been mauled by a bear. I would not recommend this product if you hunt brushy areas. I'm sure it would do fine in the boat for fishing or just to protect you on nasty days around town."

"First off... I'm a city person, and nothing irks city people more than Real Tree Camo. This is a must for those who seek a good fashion jibe. But like most things, this jibe will turn into a statement and all kinds of kids will be wearing it for no other reason than to look like me. Ah well... They Jacket is GREAT. I use it for what it's made for, and I can tell you that if you are in or near a wooded area in the city, you are not going to be seen. If it's raining, you are not going to get wet from the waist up. It actually is breathable and can get a little warm at times, but overall it's a stellar buy. I would suggest going one size larger than what you think you want. This jacket, while being amazing for me, is NOT forgiving on size and it will not stretch out for you. I purchased a medium, expecting it to be huge... It was right on the money, but I did intend on wearing this bad boy in the spring time so I didn't really need the over sized jacket. If you ride a bike... the jacket has an extended back so it covers your backside perfectly for the rain riding. I would say though... if you are at or near 5'11" and around 180lbs or more, I would go for the large. One last thought... This jacket is very compactable and easy to stow away. I keep in my bag all the time, just in case, because it is so small when stashed. . Thanks Cabelas!"

"I tried it out beaver trapping for the first time in 33 degrees sleet and rain. Very light weight and kept the chill off just fine. Only had a heavy sweatshirt under it. Can pack it away to the size of a pop can. Only draw back is the draw string for the hood, hard to get it tight with cold fingers."

"The Space Rain is very good for what it is designed to do, i.e. provide good waterproof rain gear that is very light and packable. This is great for situations where you can't or don't want to carry alot of weight or bulk with you.
The Pullover Jacket also makes a great additional waterproof layer under your primary rain gear for those days when you have to fish, canoe, hike, or hunt all day long in rainy or stormy conditions that always seem to let some water through even the best and most expensive rain gear.
This gear is not meant to be your primary rainsuit in extreme wet weather conditions. The lightweight make up of the material would not do well in the bush or other situations where it would be subject to tears or rips from the environment you are playing in.
I used this in Canada on an 11 day trip in the bush as my second layer and alone around the camp in light rain or drizzle and found it to be a great product. It is also very, very comfortable to wear."
