Work great on the right tree...,September 16, 2009
By CanuckDeerHunterfrom Ottawa, Canada
"I have two of these now...and they are a big improvement on the screw in steps, and way less visible than most ladder stands... They are quick to put up and very sturdy. The straps work fine...a rachet would be better though, and my size 12 rubber boots fit just fine in the steps... The only thing is you need a nice straight tree, it is difficult to attach to trees that aren't straight. Overall it is my preferred access to my hang on stands..."

Rivers Edge 15 Ft ladder,September 1, 2009
By Woodsakfrom I live in Fairbanks,Alaska
"First off the box came damaged ( no fault of Cabela's) Ladder is way to small. steps, and width. I wear a size 12 boot my foot did not fit safely in the space of the step. Too close to tree so foot was only about 3 inch's on step. Straps to hold ladder on to tree should be the rachet type and not the pull kind, poor design they do not have hooks it is a loop style. Someone would be better off to spend more money and get made for your self or see product before buying."

Only if You Use Ratchet Straps,September 1, 2009
By Bandit24from Kingsport, TN
"Seems that most mfg's want to skimp on the straps. The straps do not do the job if you want to ensure safety. If you buy the ladder, ......junk the straps, and invest some $$ in ratchet straps."

tree ladder,July 14, 2009
By viktorfrom alaska
"Ladder is well built. The only thing that keeps it from having five stars is that the piece that seperates the ladder from the tree is to short, thus you are essentially climbing the ladder using your toes if you are wearing boots. It works but you have to be very careful"

Needs ratchet straps,January 28, 2009
By COLGrebfrom Westford MA 01886
"Good stand... easy assembly.. An improvment would be to hav ratchet straps or some other method to torque the guide ropes tight... The top strap had a tie die ratchet that cinched it tight..."
