"I can't give them a 5 since I haven't used them yet. However, they look like they should do the job. I can't give them a 4 since the plastic on the old set wore prematurely in my opinion. This is a little darker colored plastic coating, so I'm hoping it's an improvement. I'll know better in about 5 months."

"These cables are an excellent product and well worth the money. The coating seems to be quite a bit thicker than what was on the original cables. The new cables are much quiter than my old, worn out cables which have been on my stand since I bought it seven years ago. Plus, they're probably a lot safer when your're hanging from them 25 feet up a tree! If yours are worn out, I recommend a replacement set from Summit. Good stuff."

"Summit manufactures an excellent product. I have owned Summit treestands for about fifteen years and can't find anything bad to say about the product. I feel safe in the treestand, it packs well and hunts well. When a company is confident in their product to sell replacement parts rather than rely on selling the entire package you know its quality and that is why this is my third Summit, I don't waste my time on imitators."

Summit makes a real solid tree stand,

"I had used the same cables on my summit bushmaster climber for about 5-6 years. The lasted well, and honestly I used them a bit longer than suggested by the manufacturer - continuing use even though I could see some cable around the stopper blocks in places.
During this past archery season I replaced the cables with Summits replacement cables. They, so far, have worked as well as the originals. The shrink wrap was a bit long to start, but easy enough to trip the excess ends down to an inch or so.
Overall the replacement cables seem as good as the originals to me."

Summit Climber Replacement Cables,

"I almost didn't buy these... after recalling someone mentioned that the Summit replacement cables were shorter than the stock offerings. I'm happy to say that these cables, purchased in 2007, are LONGER than my old factory issued pair.
I've used the original cables for years and always felt that they could benefit from being just a tad longer. Finding a great tree on public ground after scouting only to realize my Summit couldn't adjust to accomodate the diameter was quite disappointing. I tossed around the idea of buying another stand, but liked the old Summit so much I chose to buy new cables instead.
I'm very pleased with these replacement cables, which allows access to larger trees that had been too big to climb. These appear to be the same quality as stock, which is fine. If Summit would improve the durability of their rubberized coating, they'd have a 10 out of 10 product.
Either way, this item is a must have if your Summit climber gets a great deal of use."

"I buy a pair of these every year. I love my summit climbing stand and the plastic wears down quickly when you are how should we say near the weight limit of the stand. I blame those knoby trees, but in any case the plastic wears off quickly and then the metal starts to rust. I dont think the actual cables are the best quality but it is a necessary evil, if you like the summit stand you need to replace the cables."

Replacement cables for Summit Tree Stand,

"Cables were a little shorter than the ones that came with the stand. The coating wears off rather quickly exposing the braided cable, thus making more noise when attaching to the tree. The summit is still, without question, the most comfortable stand I have ever sat in. Overall, very good product."
