"100 times easier than bending down and strapping the old strap over your boots. 1-2-3 and your locked in and ready to climb. And for the others that complained about them breaking...they must have been really abusing them. I mean, they are not made of aluminum but if installed properly the chance of them breaking seem slim, to me at least."

Summit RapidClimb Strirrups,
October 7, 2009
By Sideline
from Maine, NY
|
"Used a new Summit Climber with this attachment. Much easier to climb the tree with this system. However purchased these to use on an older Summit Climber. I tried to disassemble old parts off old stand. Couldn't get all old parts off so I cut straps. I tried to put the new strirrups on the older stand. They will not work. Summit should let customers know these will not fit on older stands. I've contacted Summit about the problem. They have yet to respond. Warning, if you have an older stand these will not work. Now I have a Summit Viper tree stand that is not usable! I would olny recommend using these if you have a new model Summit."

A must Have for any tree stand,
May 26, 2009
By Jake0516
from Bonne Terre MO
|
"I bought a summit ultimate climbing tree stand and love it, so when I got a cheaper one for another area I hunt I just had to have the stirrups for it. They make all the difference. But the nut on it get loose sometimes and needs to be tightend every now and then. thats why i only gave it a four."

Nice Upgrade,
January 20, 2009
By FastTimes
from Indiana Pennsylvania
|
"The RapidClimb stirrups are a vast improvement over the old style. Cabela's shipped them super fast so no need for the upgraded shipping. I would like to see them a bit less expensive. As far as functionality, the even work with my pack boots. I have just converted from a Loggy Bayou stand so I still need to get used getting down with the Summit Viper. Overall I give the Stirrups a 4 on the 5 scale due to cost. If they were free I would give them a FIVE!"

Control,
January 7, 2009
By jwskk
from NC
|
"The stirrups offer better control. I have always climbed with the standard straps on stands...summit and api. Since having back surgery and losing some muscle control in one leg, the stirrups give a feeling of better control with my climber. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is the price, knock off about 10 bucks and make them a very reasonable addition to climbers."

Innovative Product!,
January 5, 2009
By mrhix
from SW PA Hunter
|
"I was tired of always fighting to get the traditional boot straps firmly secured behind my heels, especially if my hands were cold or I had snow/ice on my boots. I have an older, non-Summit climber stand with the side support arms offset from the platform (as opposed to directly above the edge of platform), so the stirrups were offset about an extra inch to the outside of the platform on each side. Even offset further out than they were supposed to be, these stirrups worked great! I am a bigger hunter (6'-4" and 305 lbs.) and my boots still fit into the stirrups just fine. You just slip your feet in and go. No more wrestling heel straps! I highly recommend this product."

Summit Rapid climb stirrups,
November 16, 2008
By SouthGAshotgunner
from Georgia

"I bought these as spares for my Summit climber, when I first bought the climber I figured these plastic pieces would be the first things to break. The only problem I have had so far is the screws will loosen up sometimes probably due to being hauled around in the bed of a pick up truck."

"Nice idea but they are cheaply made. The stirrups tend to flex as you come down out of the tree making the descent harder than it needs to be."
