"New to hunting and cleaned my first few deer without the claw skinning tool. what a pain! The claw made it a breeze. Grips the skin great, takes all the strain out of your hands, and provides great leverage for pulling off the skin...a must have for your deer camp."

"Found the claw to be a little heavy and bulky but it did grab the skin securely and hold on. It made the job of skinning a little easier. Used mostly around neck."

"I have used this tool to skin out a couple of antelope, it is much easier then pulling with hands. the real test will be in a couple of weeks with the mule deer. I'll keep you posted."

"Wow, what a difference when you have the right tool for the right job. Have been using my hands to skin my deer. Always had to make holes in the hide to hold onto and pull as I skinned. My hands and fingers would cramp up and it would get rather slippery. Now I can clamp onto the hide and pull. It is much quicker and cleaner."

"It performed great on the first 7-8 deer. After that, it failed to grip the hide tight enough to hold. Started our a 5, ended up a 1......averaged 3. BUT, the good news, I know Cabela will make it good."

"I bought this for my Dad as a Christmas present and it works great. All of our hunters in camp used it closing weekend and loved it. Say goodbye to sore cramped up forearms from trying to pull down cold skin in the winter. On a still warm deer, it works even better. My only wish and suggestion would be a smaller version, it is big and a little clumsy to use with one hand."

I had put off purchasing the tool for quite some time because I thought that I did not need it. After I was fortunate to take a few deer this became a must buy. "This Claw Skinning tool takes the work out of skinning a deer. Just take hold of the hide on one side and pull down. Takes the fat along with it. Cuts your skinning time in half or better. Great tool!! I would recommend it everyone who hunts."
