This press gives you easy access to cams, string and cables
No adapter needed for split-limb bows
It's lightweight (2-1/2 pounds), folds down compactly and compresses any bow - even those with long risers and parallel limbs-in seconds. Simply slide the CNC-machined aircraft-grade-aluminum brackets over your limbs and cinch the ratchet until there's enough slack in the string and cables to do the repair. This press gives you easy access to cams, string and cables, and doesn't require an adapter for split-limb bows. Brackets have rubber-coated pins to protect your bow's finish. Carry case included.

Bow press,October 12, 2009
By Agrmsu684from Lafayette, IN
"Works well, No complaints from me. This bow press is extra handy because I can put it in my bag for the weekend and take it withe me or use it for everyday jobs. I would not want to run a bow shop with it but if you are doing your own setups it does just fine."

great field tool,October 1, 2009
By archermanfrom Ashford Hollow, NY
"This item worked as claimed. I took it down to our hunting cabin as an emergency press. I had to use it right away, as a friend showed up with a new Alpha MAx that needed a peep sight installed. The Ratchet system worked very simply, and was able to to do several other bows the same weekend for other friends. Highly recommend it for a back-up or as a occasional primary press."

Ratchet-Loc Bow Press,March 18, 2009
By Hoyt10xfrom IA City, IA
"This product worked as described. No problems with working or releasing ratchet (read, understand and follow instructions).
Works well for changing out strings, accessories or making minor adjustments to fine tune bow. It's portability makes it practical on the range or in the field.
However, I see one design flaw when using with Hoyt bows - bracket spacing could be wider to slide over yoke pins on top limbs.
Overall product works very well. Shoot straight and shoot often!"

exelent tool, with portability,February 3, 2009
By HoytVectrixFanfrom quyon Quebec Canada
"this unit is just what I was looking for. It was a little interesting in putting on my Hoyt Vectrix XL but once on worked like a breeze and was able to change my peeb sight and string silincers. My only complaint would be the price but compaired to others, this unit seems tougher. Did not have problems with the ratchet because I read the instructions unlike other users. It will be a valuable edition to my personal pro shop for years to come!"

Ratchet-Loc Bow Press,January 29, 2009
By Wynn2u2from Lennox, CA
"I used my press 6 times and its never let me down yet. It's very easy to use but you must read the instructions and be sure you understand them before using this press on your expensive bow.
If not the press will free spool when you attempt to release the tension on the limbs which is a bad thing for your bow and potentially you too but with a little patience, it will serve you well both at home and in the field. I take mine to the field each time I go out because you never know when a string or serving will come loose or get cut by a broadhead."

Bit Cumbersome but affordable,December 30, 2008
By Luke37from Shreveport, Louisiana
"I own 6 bows and work on them often. This system does work but is by far the most cumbersome. It is very difficult to use on parallel limb bows. Also it is a dry fire waiting to happen. I consider myself a careful reader of instructions but a moment of distraction was all it took while letting down the bow for it to completely "let go". Read the instructions and practice the let down process many times at low pressure before actually using it."
"This bow press from RAM is easy to use and works very well. Just take your time lining up the press arms with the limbs, without tension they want to slip toward the riser. The ratchet device you can back down slowly instead of releasing all the pressure at once which is a nice feature, it just takes a couple of times to get the hang of it. This press is perfect for cam work, peeps, string, buss work ect. And definately small and light enough for pack trips. A simple design for the price but worth it."

Good Tool,September 9, 2008
By DLoadfrom North Florida
"I have used the Ratchet Loc Bow press to take tension off of the string for adjustments several different times. My bow is a split limb system and the press handled it with no problems. The only downside I have seen to date is the mechanism for releasing the press is very basic, if directions are followed there is not a problem but the potential exists for an uncontrolled release. This press is cost effective and would allow for emergency repairs in the field."

Great Mobile Press,July 22, 2008
By BowhunterMSCfrom Glasgow KY, Bowhunter for over 30 years.
"I have used this press on two different bows, one with parallel limbs and one without. It work geat on both bows. It is easy to set up and use and is very compact. The long brackets allows ample room to acess the cams for string and cable replacement. The ratchet system provides easy and controled release of the tension on the limbs if used correctly. Overall it is a very good mobile bow press."
