"This review is for the 5575s.
I occasionally use a 5/8" piece of painted plywood behind my target. I was having problems with a fall-away rest not falling away, and managed to put three or four arrows through the plywood.
No arrow damage ... a little light paint marks on the arrows but they were still straight, made no creaks when flexed to check for damage, and they still shot straight.
I've lost three to robin hoods just in practice over the winter, hence the title of the review. :-)"

"I bought these arrows with the intent to use with my Hoyt Compound bow. I decided after getting them to purchase a recurve and was told that these arrows probalbly wouldn't be the arrows to use with a recurve. These carbon arrows shoot just fine with a recurve. Very well pleased."

"I have shot the same Gold Tip Hunter 5575 arrows since the fall of 2000. Shooting year-round I have fired the same arrows many hundreds of times. In fact, of the original dozen I still have three arrows that I still have never shot. Many of the arrows are on their sixth re-fletching. Gold Tip makes an outstanding product; accurate, hard hitting, and durable. I have killed several deer using the same arrows over and over again. Gold Tip arrows combined with Muzzy 4-bladed (100 grain) broad heads shot from a Parker Frontier bow with a drop away rest make an awesome combination."

"I used to shoot aluminum arrows, but was less than impressed with downrange trajectory and wanted something that shot a little faster and flatter, so I picked up a dozen Gold Tip XT Hunter arrows and shot them. I will NEVER go back to aluminum and more than likely will not change to another brand of carbon arrow. The speed and penetration of these arrows is phenomenal! They also fly straight and yield consistent groups. I got my first Robin Hood my 3rd time out with these arrows. The first whitetail I took with these arrows was a 145# whitetail doe. I shot her at 27 yards, double lunged her, and found my arrow 5 yards past her buried to the vanes in the field I was hunting. I also hunt turkeys here in Wisconsin and they work great for that as well. Looking at the price, durability, versatility, and accuracy of these arrows, you cannot go wrong!!"

"Gold tip arrows fly true and straight, can be shot into hard objects for example a tree root and still be used many more times. The nocks need to be reconsidered because they fall off the bow string to easily."
