"I got this bow because i got intristed in archery. It might not have any sights but it is very accuret. It nit for hunting but great for practice shooting. The one I got is right handed but I shoot left and it works just fine."

"Santa brought this bow for x-mas...my son loves it, and he is pretty good with it already. We had so much fun with it, that I ended up buying a ten-point crossbow (bad shoulder) so I could spend more time with him. We only shoot at targets, but what a great way to get outside and spend some time with your kids.
Vern at the Buda store was fantastic. He helped both of us sight in our bows and get the right targets for practice, while we were visiting in Texas (Great Job Vern!)"

"Great little bow that works for everyone from my 5 year old to my 10 year old (my wife even had some fun with it after I convinced her that she wouldn't be able to draw my 70 pound bow). My kids love it and I have been able to use it to teach them the basics of archery. Almost every day they ask to use the bow. Buy the Cabelas foam deer target to go with it. The addition of the foam deer target has my kids thinking they will be ready to take a real deer next year. The genesis is more expensive than some of the other kids bows, but it is well worth the money in my opinion for the quality and performance. Enjoy!!"

"My mother bought this bow for my daughter for Christmas and it has been a huge hit. We wanted to get this so she could have a bow (like her daddy!) to shoot at home and because she is in the NASP in her school. She doesn't want to put it down. Matt McPherson is a genious. This has been the best thing for the future of archery since I do not know what! I have a Mathews Switchback myself and I can't say enough about Mathews quality. They are the best and Genesis continues that legacy."

"Whenever my 10 year old niece Amanda comes to visit she would ask me to go in the yard and practice shooting at 3-D targets with my compound bow. She was so fascinated just watching me shoot that I decided to do something special for her and purchase a Genesis Compound Bow so she could join in the fun. She helped me order it online at Cabelas.com and from the moment the order was confirmed she was very excited. When it arrived she immediately came over and began learning the basic fundamentals of Archery. Since Amanda is a little small for her age I thought it would be a challenge for her at first but I was amazed with how easily she shot the bow. You can mount many different accessories to the Genesis and because it has no let off there was no need to worry about proper sizing, it fits just about anyone; as a matter of fact I even shot the Genesis. I made a great choice purchasing the Genesis Compound bow for Amanda and she is becoming a great Archer."

"The real advantage of this system is its ability to grow with the user. Because it does not have a letoff it does not have a valley at full draw that needs to match the users draw length. It will fit 15 inch to 31 inch draw lengths with no changes to the bow. So when your son or daughter grows 4 inches in one year, like mine did, you don?t need to go buy them a new bow. You actuallly don't need to do anything. Heck it took me 6 months to get used to a new bow. Kids will out grow a traditional compound in that time frame. This bow was designed to provide quality equipment to schools for archery classes so if you are an instructor this is a perfect unit. It will fit nearly anyone in the crowd. This is the same equipment used in any National Archery in the Schools program so if your child has an archery program at shool they can use their own bow.
I think the draw weight of this bow (10-20lbs) is a little light for any big game hunting but for the younger crowd out there it?s great small game weapon.
One disadvantage is that if your child is expecting a letoff on the bow they may be disappointed and annoyed that it doesn?t get easier to pull back. I made the mistake of buying a 50% letoff bow for my son and now he refuses to shoot the Genesis bow. He would prefer to shoot a both that doesn?t fit. Overall though I would say this is a fantastic product. And I highly recommend it."
