Item notes When installing this nock, align the nock and press on; do not press and twist, if twisting occurs this may damage the battery connections and the Lumenok will not work. Material in the shaft must conduct electricity and must be exposed on rear of shaft to allow the Lumenok to operate. Carbon and aluminum are best for that.

Works Well,November 18, 2009
By CMickfrom Minnesota
"These lumenoks work well and they will always be on my arrows. My only complaint is the new lumenoks are not as durable as the original model. I broke one after 1 shot when trying to turn it off. However now I know the trick to getting them to turn off. A lighted arrow nock is must when bow hunting. It allows you to see the flight of the arrow when practicing to make sure your arrows are flying good. Also it allows you to see exactly where you hit the deer, giving you important information on your shot to help make decisions on when and how to trail your deer. The final benefit is it allows you to find your arrow immediately and you should never lose another arrow. It always have them on the end of my arrows."

Installation is key,November 14, 2009
By Codegisticsfrom New Jersey (North Western)
"I have to say that when I initially installed these into my carbon express arrows.... NO LIGHT. Once I reviewed the installation videos via you tube or the Burt coyote web site. I was able to get all six working properly shot after shot. The key here in the installation. 1. You MUST ensure you have a precisely squared arrow. You can do this by using sand paper\by eye (Like I did ) or an arrow square. By eye takes a lot longer , trial and error etc. but I did finally get them all to work. Another thing I found useful was to bend the leads down a bit on angle so as to ensure a better connection. Once I spent the time upfront they worked consistently during practice shots. Would have gave them a 5 if not for the extra work I had to put in."

carbon express-I think not,September 4, 2009
By miragexl
"Does not work on our Carbon Express Terminator selects (not Hunters) we were pretty excited about getting these finally this year...but once received and did all the tweeking they suggested. they do not light up when shot/or contacting the carbon...The insert does state: may not work with all carbon arrows due to low carbon content? Did not read about this aspect..Even called Lumenok before bought and was told should work. Have to give them some positive star. they are very bright and great ..with the testing/and using tin foil overlaping the end of the arrow but not much use to us unless we change our arrows--you know how that is."

LOVE EM!!!!,July 22, 2009
By wtdocfrom Illinois
"I bought a 3 pack of these and 2 of them worked great in my Easton Epic arows but the 3rd one was dim. Contacted the manufacturer and they helped me within 1 day. After troubleshooting it was found that on of the batteries was weak. They sent me 2 more free of charge! These nocks are guaranteed. I like the way they perform on the range and am exited about using them this fall in a hunting situation"

Good Idea...Needs work,November 10, 2008
By deerslayer84from Oklahoma
"When these things work they are great. I am a hunter, not a competitive 3-D guy. The weight doesn't throw me off. I have shot these at a target out to 55 yards with no noticeable difference. I shot a doe the other night and it lit up off the string until impact. From the Lumenock I knew I made a good shot, but the light failed upon impacting with the deer. I retrieved my arrow and sanded and cleaned a new shaft and then inserted the same nock...it still works. It takes some tweaking to get these things to fit so as to get them to light every time. Better than a regular nock though."

See the light,October 12, 2008
By INU001574from La Porte, IN
"I am using these in N-fused carbon arrows. They work great. But I did have to move my site pins a little. The extra weight of the battery did effect arrow flight, especially at longer distances. I plan to buy more."

Lumenok on Beman MFX,September 23, 2008
By Kdizzlefrom S.C.
"I got the proper lumenok for my MFX's and they are not plug and play. Every one of them had to be sanded down to fit in my arrows. They wouldn't even get close to fitting otherwise. I just used one of them for practicing with my hunting setup and the battery and holder came loose, driving it deep into the shaft with the target impact. Now that was the devil getting out! Anyway, it may have been an isolated event, but the little plastic battery holder needs a touch of glue in my opinion, rather than depending on friction to hold it."

Poor Product,September 22, 2008
By TrophyChasersfrom California, Out of State Trophy Hunter Group
"We purchased six of these nocks for low light conditions on our 2008 trophy only mule deer and Trophy Elk hunt. WE had nothing but problems getting these nocks to stay unlighted. They indicate the nocks are accuated by inertia when in fact every vibration from riding on an ATV to stressing a release against the nock makes them light up or flicker continously. We looked like christmas tree's in the back country. Then when we had a couple nocks that did not light with just vibration. When shot at game THESE NOCKS DID NOT LIGHT AT ALL.
This product needs to go back to the drawing board.
I understand that this product has been around awhile. I don't know if they have modified away from their original design but we put these nocks to the true test in severe back counrty conditions and every one of them failed in one form or another."

works good so far,September 10, 2008
By averyhunterfrom Minnesota
"Practiced with one yesterday, looks like a winner.
I was concerned about a deer seeing the red light through my blind (as well as battery life) but I found a way around that. I back off the nock just enough to turn off the light and it turns on nicely when the arrow is shot. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that I am still a little bit wary due to comments by others."

Lumenoks,September 3, 2008
By jhornamanfrom Pennsylvania
"These nocks are have the potential to be great but don't light up every shot and when they do they don't light up to their fullest potential. When they do light up though they can be seen in broad daylight. Not worth the money, you'd be better off buying the Carbon Express or the Easton Tracer nocks."

Great Light Nock,August 25, 2008
By Lou78from Union, NJ
"I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this product. I bought two single packs and both have worked for me. I would of bought the 3 pack if it wasn't for the negative reviews. Which is way to try I would buy the single packs. I used easton axis 400 arrows. I'll admit that the fit was a little on the tight side but with a little bit of filing using a nail filer on the plastic where the little humps are I got them both to slide in nicely not using all my force where they would turn on every shot taken and slide out a little with my fingers versus using a pair of pliers to turn it off. If I didn't do that then there would be a problem and not work with each shot. Sometimes you just have to think outside of the box to make something work everytime in todays world. Nothing is perfectly made anymore."

Lighted Nock is a definite advantage,November 5, 2007
By TexasWarEaglefrom Dallas, TX
"I started using the Lumenok this year and have had mixed results. I purchased three of them and used them extensively in practice and for the most part, worked as indicated. They are difficult to turn off, but definitely are bright and show a clear arrow path. I shot a bull elk this past season and the Lumenok failed and didn't light up. Luckily, I had clean pass through, found my arrow, and my elk just 75 yards away. So, when it counted, it failed. But, I will continue shooting arrows with the Lumenok as it can definitely assist in helping one see the point of impact as well as readily locating the arrow after the shot (assuming they light up). I hope Burt Coyote works on the quality so the failure rate is reduced. All in all, a very innovative product and an asset to the bow hunter."

bad nocks,September 25, 2007
By schuby83
"I am huge bow hunter that harvest's my fair share of game with my bow. I have shot 5 deer with lumenox with only one actually lighting up. I shoot easton axis 400's through a mathews switchback xt bow. These nocks are not worth the money or the head ache you get from them."
