"I purchased the Leupold VX-II 2X7-33mm to use on my TC Encore Katahdin .45-70. I elk hunt an area in Idaho where it is very dense and shots over one-hundred yards are very rare. I felt this combination would be an excellent choice and I could not be more happy with my purchase. I was skeptical about the VX-II being able to withstand the punishing recoil of the .45-70 magnum ammo from a 6.5 pound rifle, but those concerns have disappeared. This scope is fantastic to say the least. I couldn't tell you how many rounds of this punishing ammo I have sent down the tube, but the point of zero remains the same. The bottom line is, this is by far the best scope you can purchase for the money...period! Respectfully, Bearclaw"

"I am very pleased with this scope. After dialing it in @ 200 yards I was about to put it on the 300 yard, 400 yard, & 500 yard gongs at the range & ding each one with the 1st shot. Bagged an antelope at 341 yards last Saturday by using a decoy, my rangefinder, & just bracketing the animal between the 300 + 400 yard lines. This will not be my last leupold scope as I have many rifles & am very pleased. Cost more than the gun, but i am learning that that is the rule with quality optics. :)"

"I bought the Leupold VX-II with the long range duplex feature in July 2009. This is a great scope. I had no trouble sighting it in at 100, 200 and 300 yards. I shot my favorite 150 grain, 3006 bullet, and found I was dead on the cross hair at 100 and 200. At 300yds, I used the first compensator dot and was right on the mark again. I have not shot at 400yds yet but I believe I would be very accurate at the second comp. dot. As with any compensator scope the variation depends on your rifle and your bullet. For me the VX-II (LRD) was the right choice for the money. I think the optic clarity is outstanding. I was able to accomplish sighting in my rifle in a very short time period. I don't think this would have been possible with a standard scope."

"Only my 2nd Leopold scope,my first one I bought in 1958 I don't know why I waited so long for;My first one is still a great scope. My new one I mounted on my Weatherby,It took me 6 shots to zero it in.The last 2 where touching each other in the bullseye at 200 hundred yards. This scope is super clear."

"I have been hunting in Canada over 40 yrs,I now own nothing but reliable scopes (Leopold is it.) for hunting varmints to big game.The new VX II 3x9x50 mounted on my 378 WM, gives me, 3/4 moa at 100 yrds.every time. muzzle braked n tweeked for accuracy. Other Scope Brands (tired of cross hairs blowning out) won't hold up to this recoil. Leopold does n get's r done, every time. I would recommend Leopold and The VX II for any rifle."
