"It picked up, and I assume scrambled most of the radars on my 2000+ mile trip. Still got at least one ticket topping a hill. No photo enforcement tickets yet but we will see."

i got a ticket,April 8, 2009
By cruzen420from Muncie, IN
"I have been using my radar for about 2 years now and it has worked great until i got my first ticket last week. what i dont like about the radar is that you dont know when the scrambler is actually working it doesnt give off any alert sounds so you cant tell if it actually is working or not. i can say this i have passed several cops doing well over the speed limit and the radar went off that the were clocking me nad they did not pull me over. I have also been pulled over before when I was doing well over the speeding limit and been givin other tickets besides speeding tickets. so I could not tell you if it just failed to work the night i got a ticket or not. but over all i am pretty happy with the product I just wish it gave you some kind of signal if the scrambler was actually working."

Overall good detector,January 6, 2009
By RevJimfrom Outback, All over Northern Nevada!
"So far, so good (no tickets) My only gripe is the poor quality of the suction cups used for the window mount. I had to buy replacements at my local hardware store the second day. Other than that it seems to work fine out here in the sticks."

Didn't work for me at all,December 10, 2008
By DisenchantedUserfrom Santa Clarita, CA
"I read all the other reviews on this detector and purchased one at the Cabela's retail store in Boise for my drive home to Los Angeles. 18 hours after purchasing it I got the first speeding ticket I've had in years.
I got a ticket for 74 in a 60 in Henderson, NV. The unitl only detected the radar when it was within a very short distance (coming from opposing traffic) and the scrambler obviously didn't work.
The unit was constantly getting X band false signals (every time you pass a big rig and sometimes when there's not a vehicle to be seen for miles).
Passing other police cars on the side of the road with other drivers stopped or sitting in speed traps in the small towns along the highway only detected a couple of them and only when you were within a few car lengths of the radar. Most of them were undetected.
Also, the company offers to pay any speeding tickets if you get one while using/owning the detector. They do not pay administrative fees or court costs or anything other than the "fine" charges. In my case the fine was $7 and not worth filing a claim. The bulk of the charges were in court/admin fees which you cannot recoup.
So all that to say, I'm not happy at all with the unit after an 830 mile drive and unless something significant changes in the next week of use/testing it's going right back to Cabela's."

Rocky Mountain Radar C-430 Laser Detector and Scra,August 8, 2008
By HeavyFoot
"This is one of the best I have ever owned. I am in sales and drive 800 to 1,000 miles a week. I passed my original Rockey Mountain Radar Scranbler down to my son and purchased the new C-430. Still no tickets after years of use including the original. The scramber in this unit makes makes the difference."

Great Product,March 22, 2008
By DT136from IDAHO
"I am very, very happy with this device. When it goes off I look around to see where the "law dog" is. It is really nice to know they are there even when you are not/think you are not speeding as it makes you double check your speed. I likely would have been pulled over a couple of times, but my detector alerted me as it should. One particular stretch of interstate on my daily commute it goes off pretty consistently and I couldn't figure out what was causing it. I went on the department of transportations website and they have a couple of cameras there. Anyway I feel quite confident that these cameras are speed cameras. BTW - The times the radar detector was going off at that location I wasn't the only vehicle and wasn't traveling the fastest of the group."

It works!,October 30, 2007
By JJJJJJ
"I have done my research and field testing and I can tell you it works. I have found that the scrambler causes law enforcement officers to shoot their radar at you multiple times becasue it appears to them that the radar gun has malfunctioned. The scrambler causes confusion in the radar gun and once another car appears, the radar gun works fine. I would recommend upgrading to the C-430 model - it's worth it."

Rocky Mountain C-430 review,June 18, 2007
By JoeMeyfrom Southwest US
"This unit has been working well for me. I first used it over Memorial Day Weekend and liked the results. I think the scrambler even saved a car that was passing me in a speed enforcement area.
I bought this unit not as a license to speed but more as a reminder not to. Such as entering construction areas on the freeway that require you to reduce your speed. Usually these areas have the unmanned self check radar sites up and something about the audible alert of the detector going off makes it easier to slow down after moving at a high rate of speed.
Also, I have had very few false alarms."

No Tickets,November 22, 2006
By MidolBobfrom Phoenix AZ
"So far no tickets. The Rockey Mountain Radar Detector has done a wonderful job in detecting the local speed traps. The detector particularly saved my bacon when the local State police set up a rader/laser trap in a very surprising location. The city mode also works beter than any other detector I have ever had."
