"I purchased a pair of the Three Forks Youth waders for my son last Christmas. Now, with 9 months of HARD abuse, I am even more sold on these waders. The pricing was great, but it was the reviews that really sold us. Let me tell you, these waders have been everything and more! Living in Oregon gives us the opportunity fish some remote areas, usually involving a bit of hiking(measured in miles). My son have put many miles on the felt soles, through all sorts of terrain. These waders have blazed the trail through blackberry bushes, through clear-cut timber, and slid down may boulders. Granted my 7 year old is outside the norm for most kids his age and has tromped through areas that most grown men choose not to travel. The Three Waders, fit well, are beyond durable, clean up easily, and look good. When he outgrows his current waders he will be getting the next size up of Cabela's Three Forks waders!"

"Got these waders for my nine year old son. We've used them just a few times and he is very happy with them. Sizing has been our only problem so far. My son is slightly above average height and with these waders shoe size and inseam length are not close to matching for him. We went with a larger shoe size but still the length is too short, so these will likely be a one season set of waders for him."

"I have been very satisfied with the quality and performance of these waders. I have taken my 6 yr old on three fly fishing trips so far, during which he was at my side in the river a good part of the day. They did not leak and my boy never complained of any discomfort. The waders look to be good quality and since the smallest size available fit him a bit large I am hoping to get at least two seasons use from them. I would definitely recommend these waders to other parents. The only minus is that they do not come with a wading belt. My solution was to get an adult belt and wrap it around my boy twice, this seemed to work pretty good."

"I have 2 boys 9 & 11, they each brought a pair to Kodiak Ak. last summer. Played on gravel bars and climbed on logs while fishing at the river, wore them boat fishing, and beach fishing. My 11 year old left his pair to my friends son (they live on Kodiak), and I had to buy him another pair for start of our Crab season in Calif. Second season and still going strong."

"These were bought for my 10yo daughter and she loves them. She wears leggings and socks under them to say a little warmer and to stop them chaffing. The fit was a little large but that only means we are going to be able to get an extra year of so of use out of them (the quality of felt and stitching indicates they are going to last). The extra size was easily taken into account by the shoulder straps. My only minor gripe is that a waist belt was not included."

"Good waders. Definitely run on the bigger end. My son wears a size 51/2 shoe and fits in the size 3 waders perfectly. As always with rubber waders, wear socks or you'll get ankle blisters. You'll definitely need a wading belt --- and if you buy the cabela's belt, you will nee to knot it to fit the kids waists."

"I have now purchased three pairs of these for my sons. They both love fly fishing for salmon and steelhead in the fall. Cabelas is the only retailer I have found that sells youth sized waders for younger kids. They both outgrew the size 3 pair and wore out the size 5. The only drawback to the felt soles is that eventually you will have to reglue the sole to the boot. This does not seem to be a quality isssue, but a use issue. Young kids have a tendency to drag their feet, which seems to speed up the wear process. Overall, I have been quite pleased and would hightly recommend these."

"This was an early fall trip to the Garden River Canada for Salmon. The wader's functioned great in all catagories: fit, durability, warmth, and comfort. Kids tend to be a little harder on wader with all the sitting on rocks and climbing on trees in the water. The felt soles also were a big plus as some of the rocks in this river tend to be slippery. The priceless part is the look on a seven year old girls face when she sees she can walk in water just like her dad without getting wet or cold. The next topper of course is when she hooks her first salmon on her own fly rod with a fly she tied herself courtesy of trout unlimited."

"We picked up a couple pairs of these for our kids before a trip to Alaska and were pleasantly surprised. The synthetic felt held up well, the waders were comfortable and durable and my kids didn't complain... success!
Not surprisingly in an inexpensive wader, the fabric doesn't breathe at all and my kids were definitely happier with a fleece underlayer as the accumulated perspiration would otherwise become uncomfortable."
