Cabela's Youth Roaring Fork™ Neoprene Wader

Roaring Fork 3.5mm neoprene waders designed in youth sizes, provide all the warmth an up and coming fisherman will need, with lightweight, comfortable convenience. The boots feature a neoprene-lining for comfort and warmth without unwanted bulk or weight. A felt sole provides excellent traction on slick, rocky streambeds. And the handwarmer pocket is a great place to warm chilled fingers making it easier to tie on just the right fly. Adjustable, built-in suspenders with quick-release buckles allow for a comfortable fit. Youth whole sizes: 3-6. Doesn't fit for a wife size 8 shoe, October 2, 2009

"I got these today delivered from mail order. They are really nice waders. Extremley well made. However, I bought them for myself. I am 5 ft 2 inches tall and weigh 120#'s and where a womens size 8 shoe. None of the mens were fitting me so I ordered these because my son wears a size 5 shoe and they fit me very well. So I figured these would fit well with lots of socks in a size 6 shoe. Sadly, I could not even get my foot in them, they are much to small in the shoe size. They are however extremley well made and look identicle to my husbands and seem to be made to a very high standard."

"I purchased these for my 6 year old son to use on an Alaskan fly fishing trip. I purchased the smallest size avaialble and they were still a little too big for him but we made do by rolling the top of the waders down and using a wading belt. We fished for 5 hours in 38 degree water with no complaints from my son. No cold feet, no discomfort! Overall, the waders are well made and look as though they will last years. The felt soles were well contructed and provided good traction for my little guy as he crossed the river. I would recommend these products for anyone who has a youg child who needs warm waders."

"I bought these for my son and again for my nephew, ages 7 and 16, respectively. They both love them. Having the boot built in makes it so much easier and quicker to hop out of the truck and get started on the fishing. And they've held up well and keep them a little insulated in the cool waters."

"I don't have any experience with other kid's waders, but I bought these for my 8 year old, and they have been fantastic! He is 9 now, and we still use them frequently. Handing them down to the new 8 yr old now. I would recommend them."

"Got these for my 11 year old son's 1st time on the river. They fit great and kept him comfortable all morning long. Felt soles kept him sure footed crossing the stream.

Not sure this is related to the waders but, he hooked and landed three 7 lb steelhead his first time out. I wonder if they have them in my size??"

Cabela's Youth Waders -- "Perfect!", August 5, 2008

"Our son just returned from a week fishing for salmon on the fast-moving Kenai River in Alaska. I ordered Cabela's "Youth Roaring Fork Neoprene Wader" online for his trip.

Great choice! The neoprene kept him warm in cold water, and the felt soles were perfect for slippery rocks.

We also purchased the Cabela's "Safety Wader Belt" -- a good addition, to keep the waders from instantly filling up if your child slips and falls.

Here is our son's review: "They were perfect!"

P.S. He also caught the largest salmon, fishing in a group of 4 experienced adults!"

Great for Kids, Not just for Fishing, January 29, 2008

"With 2 creeks in our woods, sending out my child in boots was always a disaster. He would come home with flooded boots and dirt and mud from the waist down. As the creeks had some 2-3 foot waterfalls and 2 foot depths, boots were not doing the job. I went ahead and bought Youth Size 3 waders which at the time I thought were expensive but were WORTH EVERY PENNY. They did the job for all creek/woods expeditions. Any dirt gets hosed off, and he stays clean and dry. Over the years he's gone through Youth Size 3, Youth Size 6, Men's Size 10, and the latest ones are Men's Size 14! Whenever his friends come over, they can find something that will fit, and off they go. These also do very well in keeping clean and dry in the snow, especially sledding."
