"I found the Mimic Minnow to be a great lure when tight lining crappies. The slower drop caused by the paddle tail action makes it much easier to keep the lure in the strike zone. If you get it in their face, they are going to hit it."

Mimic Minnow Bodys,April 25, 2008

"Mimic Minnow Paddletail was a great lure before they changed the mould for the body. I found MM4 and MM5-11 Silver Shiner to be excellent on Speckled Sea Trout and Redfish in salt water. It looks like the Alewife, their natural feed. Also the same bait is great on spring Walleyes and Northern Pike. It has great hooks and a excellent shaped jig head. The unfortunate thing is the new body which has a dorsal and pectoral fins also has a very weak and stretchy tail that is easily torn off by a short hit. The stretchy tail and fins also impairs the side to side wobble that made this lure so effective. The older body without the fins was much sturdier and had better swimming action."
