"GREAT blade. Only downside at all with the product is that it does not come with a sheath. You have to make your own. Definately a recommended purchase though."

"I work for a utility company. I have used several different machetes over the past 21 years on the job. The saw on the back does ok for the small stuff . It is by far the best machete I've ever used, and at a reasonable price. The only problem is.......... IT SHOULD COME WITH A SHEATH."

"used it for 5 yrs, did its job with efficiency, never maintained it or anything, and easy to sharpen. only broke in half this winter upon accidental forceful impact against cement floor on a snowy day.
two drawbacks: handle cracked during the 2nd yr, tho it never developed further nor bothered me during using; sawback does absolutely nothing.
Overall: solid machete at its price range."

"This is a very nice machete sturdy, sharp and well balanced. The handle has a loop on it which is a nice safety feature to keep the machete from slipping out of your hands when you swing it.
Although it doesn't come with a sheath I still recommend this excellent American Made Machete, manufactured by the Ontario Knife Company in New York."

"I have been extremly impressed with this machete. it is razor sharp and stays that way for a long time, I have cut huge logs and trees with it and it still stays sharp and chops easily. I have never had a machete this sharp durable and comfortable. It does not come with a sheath, but otherwise I highly reccomend it."

"When I ordered this Machete I figured ,for the low price,it was probably one of the cheap pieces of junk that we used to pick up at the army surplus store.
I was certainly pleased to find a decent quality,well balanced tool. The handle is very comfortable and it was easy to put a good edge on it.(Anyone who has ever used a machete for the reason they were intended knows,if they ain't sharp,they won't work).
A great value for the money.And it was made in the USA."

"This is a real nice blade. When I received this it was already sharp enough to use. It stays sharp pretty long and it's easy to sharpen.
I chopped a bunch of brush and branches then, I cut down a couple 6 inch trees with it.
The sawback is pretty much useless though, and most trees I would cut with a saw that size are better cut with the blade anyway.
The blade is good enough that I would buy it at the same price even without the saw.
I really do like this Ontario blade."

"This machete is comfortable to use and durable. The handle makes it easy to keep a strong safe grip, and the blade cuts anything down that's in the way. I was impressed with how the machete easily removes lush green briars and other vegetation while handling dried out vegetation just as well. This machete works great, and seems like it will last a long time."

"The edge, out of the box, was not as sharp as one might wish. However, a few strokes of a file fixed that. The saw edge is essentially useless. I believe a stout saw set will cure that problem; saw teeth must be offset to function, and these are not set from the mfr's shop.
Recommended with the implied caveats above."

"I bought this for camping this summer since I usually need more versatility than just a camp ax. I think this will do the trick. It looks well made and seems fairly well balanced. I was disappointed there was no sheath available though. I bought it anyway, but transporting it in the woods may prove to be a bit tricky."

"This is a good product and was very sharp. The only disadvantage is that the saw is to thick to cut and it does not have a sheath. I made one by covering the case with duct tape, a life saver."

Worked great, the first time,

"Liked this a lot the first weekend I used it. Cleared trails and cut down a lot of saplings. Brought it home and sharpened it for the next time. Took it out last weekend and as I was cutting through some dead pine limbs to put up a tree stand, the blade starting chipping off. I have three places now that are a 1/4" deep by about 3/4" long that are chipped off. I'm not sure what caused this, maybe I just got a bad one."
