"I have had a pair of these before. The ones I received were not like the picture and horribly uncomfortable. I've been trying to break them, but haven't been able to yet. They are very painful around the inner ankle area."

"not very good quality. Laces are poor quality, broke right away! Why is there a steel shank? Made boot heavy. How about using kevlar if they need to have a rigid base?!"

"These are good boots for working or just walking (more support and comfort than some of my other hiking boots) in the rain, or mud, but I agree with the previous reviewer that they would be an EXCELENT 5 star rating if they contained the 400 mg Thinsulate like the Mens 6" Lace-up. And actually, for winter snow and cold, I wear the Mens 6" Lace-up with the Thinsulate - they work great with a biger pair of socks and my feet stay nice and toasty :o)"

"I've had other versions of this boot for many years. They work great in rain, snow and mud. I walk daily and have no fears where I step. My feet always stay dry. They provide ankle support and you can tuck your pants into these. Only suggestion for improvement would be to line the women's boot with thinsulate. The rubber tends to get cold when the temperature drops. I think some of the "shoes" have the lining, but they are not high enough."
