Nice Boots,November 4, 2009
By aly1184from Pittsburgh, PA
"I really like the way these boots look - great for treking through the woods or wearing with jeans. My feet are long, yet narrow, and these boots are just a bit too heavy (probably because I'm pretty small..my feet are just huge!). The 400-gram thinsulate has kept my feet really warm so far, but it's only November. Also, it's taking a while to break the boots in. The soles are made of Goodyear rubber, and they don't bend very easily at first. The leather is beautiful, but the tongue is very hard and caused some pain above my ankles at first. Also, I've had a difficult time tying the boots as tightly as I'd like (once again, most likely because of my narrow but long feet). All in all, I really like the way the boots look and feel for the most part. Hopefully, the breaking-in process will speed up now that I'm getting out into the woods more!"
GREAT BOOTS,December 31, 2008

"I bought these boots for my wife for christmas and she loves them. She wanted a pair that would hold up and keep her feet warm and dry when we go out and cut firewood."
Woman's boots,November 29, 2008

"I have bought several boots for work over the years from cabelas but I believe their quality is declining. First, the boot took two weeks of daily wear to break in and stop putting blisters on my ankles! The design of the tongue, while I understand the waterproofing aspect, is very hard on the ankles and rubs terribly if the boots are laces even loosly. Secondly, the toes are too narrow. Boots are not a fashion parade but a functional item. Give our toes some room to breath!!! No boot should have a tapered toe, much less insulated boots where a heavier sock will be worn. The last issued I was disappointed in was the quality of the leather. I am assuming it is leather but acts like imitation leather with no give. I have bougtht similar boots from Cabelas years ago that were much more comfortable as to the quality of the leather. I will have to seriously reconsider what boots I buy next time I am in need of work boots!"
Great Boots,October 27, 2008
By Ira73from Costa Mesa, CA
"I bought these boots short before our hunting trip to northern Utah. Everybody said, that I was crazy to go hunting/hiking with these brand new boots! When I received the boots I was a little worried myself, because they are very rugged and sturdy. I wore them a short while in the house and went the next day on my 5 day hunting trip. No need to worry at all. The boots were great, absolutely no walking in required! I would recommend these boots to everybody who goes hunting during some snow, rough terrain and high mileage."

"I am an achery hunter and have an orchard. Good work boots are a must! I love these boots I have 2 pairs of the 400 gram, one 1000 gram and one pair of the uninsulated. I have gone through two other pairs of the 400 gram, I will never switch from these boots. I have hunting partners that get wet feet when we cross water in the archery hunts, not me! Only complaint is that I wish they would come out with a bob sole in the 7 inch boot. Julie"

Great Boots!,July 7, 2008
By StreamStomper2from Morgantown, WV
"I use these boots to work in everyday and they've NEVER leaked. I do stream monitoring and hike anywhere from 2 to 5 miles daily and also have them in standing water daily. Just be sure to treat them with snow seal or mink oil."
Trying on boots,May 15, 2008
By 3basefrom Northern Wisconsin
"I am one that will not buy a pair of hunting boots unless I can try them on. I was so desperate and last minute for a pair of boots and none were available to try. So I went to Cabela's who has everything at anytime of the year and ordered these boots. I am very impressed with how well they fit when I tried them on for the first time."
great WOMANS work boot,January 30, 2008
By RangerLadyfrom Santa Clara County, California
"After alot of frustration trying to find a womans work boot, I found these. The Outfitter Series fits a womans foot. There is no need to break these boots in. They are very comfortable and reasonably priced too!!"
A must have for hard core hunters.,December 12, 2007
By OregonWaterDogfrom Oregon
"I bought a pair of these boots back in 1999 and the stitching near the toe finally gave way. I won't blame Cabelas for this, it was most likely my fault for a lack of proper leather treatment of the years or hundreds of miles these boots endured. You will certainly find lighter boots on the market, but not many will be more durable."
great for the hunt,November 12, 2007
By missmaggiefrom las vegas, nv
"I froze the first weekend of deer season wearing a pair of lightweight hiking boots, that inspired me to look for some better boots when I came accross these. They kept my feet warm and made it possible for me to put my tag on a great four point muley, my first ever. I cant say enough good things about these boots....."
"I bought these boots for this years Cascade Elk Hunt. They kept my feet warm and dry through the snow storms and rain. I did have problems with the toe box area though and came home with a few badly bruised toes. I hunt steep ground and it's hard to "break in" boots so soon before the season. I got the right size, but will have to rethink whether I want to wear them on extreme ground. Other than the toes, the boots did well throughout the entire season."
I can't imagine winter without them!,April 25, 2007
By Twistatoe
"I've never had a wet or a cold day in these boots. I wear them all winter when it's -45 on the coldest days, and up into the sixties and seventies in the spring. High quality leather, worth every penny! I couldn't be more satisfied. Comfortable, tough as nails, warm, and dry. What more can your feet ask for??"
Women's Outfitter 9" boots,November 21, 2006
By Sandra1977from Oregon
"I thought they were great. This is my first true pair of hiking boots and I wore them out in the rain to start. Usually I use tennis shoes which leave my feet soaked to the core. We tromped around some terrain in W Oregon and the boots fit great. I think the back heel needs broken in but I suppose that's typical. I'd highly recommend them for any woman."
Excellent Hunting Boots,November 20, 2006
By rmefbowhunterfrom Pacific NW San Juan Islands
"Well designed for active hiking over uneven terrain, providing excellent ankle support and protection all around from sharp rocks. These boots provided excellent waterproof protection on recent hunts in ND, Alberta and AK, in temperatures ranging from 60 degree warm weather pheasant hunting to sub-20 degree icy conditions while moose hunting. These are a great value!"
"I have really enjoyed these boots. I bought them for mid-season hunting in Georgia, and so far they have lived up to the task. They have kept my feet warm and dry. They are also very comfortable. The only complaint I have about them is that the tongue is slightly uncomfortable, but even that has begun to wear in, and is getting better. I also might would have ordered them a half size bigger, but that's just me. I had these boots on all day the first time I wore them, and they broke in very nicely... no pain and no blisters! Also, the soles have excellent traction."
