"I finally received my complete order from Cabela's and these modern fit hiking shorts were well worth the wait. These shorts fit beautifully, very comfy, great construction using sturdy cotton with plenty of leg room.
I'm glad I bought three pair and I couldn't be happier with the sale price I paid.
I do hope they NEVER DISCONTINUE these great shorts. I will be buying more.

"These shorts are wonderful! They are my new jeans. I live in So. AZ. so they will get a ton of wear. I did read the reviews before I ordered and decided to err on the side of caution and though it pained my ego, I ordered a size larger than I wear and I am so glad I did. I am short waisted so I always wear lower cut jeans and shorts. But I also have a booty, so a lot of times I end up with "pancake butt" because the shorts are cut for those with no hips or no butt. These have a lot of room for my backside and my legs. My husband even gave them the 2 thumbs up for fit. I am ordering another pair in a diff color ASAP! Thank you Cabelas for making a pair of shorts that I will wear everyday!"

"I wanted a more modern fit hiker so tried these out. Way too big all over and the length of inseam just an inch too short for me. I'm over 40, fit, and like to wear more current styles so I was disappointed these didn't work. I wound up buying the regular/classic style hikers which tend to look more 'granny-ish'. However, quality of these were top notch."

"I love Cabelas 7 pocket hiking shorts, as they were perfect when I hiked the Smokies. I do however, find the shorter version does not sit well. It's sits more on the hips and for me it's not a comfortable fit. I had no problem with quality and workmanship or shipping time."

"I have bought shorts from many places, and bought my regular size (and used their size chart). But the shorts were slightly too big. I had to have them taken in my a tailor (extra $). They are good quality, and I like them, but would have preferred them to fit from the fit size they were using."
