"You won't be sorry for getting this, in fact I am getting my second one. I keep packing and unpacking in to RV. This press gets the job done, bacon fries much faster and even. Easy to clean and stor. Had bought another one and it was not as heavy, took back. What a deal for your money. Enjoy!"

"This is a nice large sized bacon press. Due to it's size, 9" X 5 1/4", it can cover several strips of bacon at once. It has sturdy wooden handles, but wear gloves anyway as the handle brackets get very hot and, sooner or later, you'll touch them.
This item is made in China (isn't everything) and the casting is not quite as "polished" as you'd see in American cast iron. However it is pre-seasoned and easy clean up. At the price, it's a bargain and cooks the bacon faster, flatter and straighter then pan frying alone."

"I've been wanting a bacon press for a long time and when I ran across this one at Cabela's, I didn't hesitate to order it. I bought it for myself at Christmas and have used it only once, but was very satisified with how crisp my bacon was. And it didn't SHRINK. That was my main goal and it worked."

"Works very well, I like the fact that it keeps the spatter down, less to clean up. The bacon turned out much better than not using one of these. I would actually recommend getting two so you can cover up a entire pan of bacon, it is only 4" wide or so, so if you have just one, you kind of move it around as the bacon is cooking."

"I had been looking for a bacon press for a long time and could not find one that I liked. I was delighted when I saw this one on Cabela's web sight. I was so excited, I bought two of them. They work absolutely great with bacon, pork chops, steaks, just about anything on the grill or griddle. The price was very reasonable too."

"I was skeptical about purchasing this item thinking it wouldn't be up to the job. I was surprised to find it really works very well. Put this on top of your cooking bacon and it heats up from the cooking oil and cooks your bacon on both sides in half the time. Watch out tho ~ this thing gets really hot and stays hot for a while after taking it out of the skillet. It is well made. It is not cheap steel. It has a composite covering over the steel which makes it very easy to clean and keep it from rusting. It works ~ and it works very well."

"We do alot of cooking on a flat top griddle and this press makes cooking thick sliced bacon a breeze. Using the press allows me to keep up with everyone else in the kitchen and provide crispy, hot bacon at just the right time. Works well on country ham as well."
