The inside of the leather sports a soft, hydrophobic foam lining that has been treated with the Aegis™ antimicrobial process for odor-fighting comfort. Keeping the uppers tight and secure, the quick-lock lace system cinches down evenly over your arch for optimum security.
Down below, the soles cradle your feet with an anatomic, extra-wide footbed whose comfort and security are steps beyond the ordinary. The footbed has also been given the Aegis™ antimicrobial treatment for additional fungal defense. Precise, knife-cut siping on the nonmarking outsole makes wet-weather traction reliable and consistent, and the carbon-rubber lug sole is a multi-terrain wild card that cruises effortlessly through rock, mud and other challenging conditions. Comfort comes easy with the shock-absorbing EVA midsole, while the patented toe guard makes toe injuries a memory. The Newport H2s have 3M™ reflective pull loops on the back.

"I bought my Keens two weeks before a trip to the Big Island of Hawaii because I planned on doing a lot of hiking along the beaches and mountains. I wore them every day, just to get used to them, prior to my trip and when I arrived I never wore anything else, well, except for my bathing suit. They are simply the most comfortable things I've ever worn on my feet. They go from the sandy beach into the water, back through the sand to the lava fields to the rainforest trails and are always comfortable. I'm now back in Colorado and they are great in the Rocky Mountains. I'm really looking forward to the snow."

"These are great sandals. They fit snug and are very comfortable. Got them in March and have worn them everwhere, with and without socks (I wear dark socks so they don't look too dorky). The toe protection makes them feel like real shoes and is helpful if you are active, but they still have the feel of sandals. My wife and 2 year old have pairs as well. Great for in and out of water."

"These sandals are great! Expensive yes...but well worth it. I bought these for my husband who is NOT a sandal wearer but is a fisherman who of course has to either get out of his boat on a oyster bar or likes to surf fish and he swears they are the most comfortable shoe he owns now! They protect his feet but allows them to dry off fast after getting out of the salt water. But best of all they do look better on then they did in the magazine or online. "Spend a lot of time in hot,wet,humid conditions photographing wildlife. Shoes stay wet most of time. Not sure what to expect in our steam bowl, but uppers seem to take longer to dry out. Next shoe I get will be a solid style, due to ants getting the best of my toes in the openings. Tread is great gripping pedals as i bike, wade in water."
