Spring-mounted motion activator for irregular movement
Simulate the motions of a distressed or panicking prey species to draw in predators and direct their attention away from your position with this decoy. The adjustable decoy stake enables you to locate the decoy for optimum visibility over brush, weeds and thickets. And it has an easy-to-reach on/off switch to conserve battery life. Atop the stake, a spring-mounted motion activator wobbles and vibrates, sending the included decoy into a frenzy that coyotes and bobcats won't be able to pass up. Operates up to 16 hours on one 9-volt battery (not included).

predator decoy,October 12, 2009
By FChunterfrom FC, CO
"I had high hopes for this decoy, it was my first attempt at predator hunting out west. I got the decoy in the mail, and I was sold - put the batteries in and even I would've mistaken it for an injured rabbit or something, even if it did make a bit of noise that sounded like a wind-up doll.
Then I took it out hunting in December. First off, as others have mentioned, I couldn't get the wooden stake into the ground, and it broke trying. I ended up piling up a bunch of snow and hoping that would do. Then I turned it on, and waited. And waited, and waited - for it to move. The cold weather (25-30 F) was enough to shut it down.
This product was an utter waste of money, perhaps it might serve some purpose in the summertime, if you're into predator hunting in the summer..."

Noisy,October 14, 2008
By CoramDeofrom New Mexico
"It's noisy and can easily be heard by a human being 20-50 yards away. It's hard to get stuck solidly in the ground and it has to be stuck solid or the weak and gentle movement of the decoy will be lost in the stake's own movement. None of the coyotes or bobcats I've called in have paid the slightest bit of attention to it and I'm going back to a feather on a string."

NEVER.........,December 19, 2007
By SNOWMOBILEUTAHfrom MURRAY, UTAH
"The only reason I gave this review a 1 star is that it does not allow for a zero star rating. The stake (2 piece) is way to long, and the only way to adjust it is longer. The ground stake cheap plastic that will never pierce cold, frozen ground w/o breaking. (abs plastic shatters under cold conditions)If you use this decoy, go ahead and chat with your partner while your calling and waiting because the noise of the decoy will drown out your words, and the coyote will be long gone anyway. I have been using decoys on coyotes for over 30 years now. Clear back to using live rabbits in the 70's. A red wing feathertied to a ground stake fluttering in the breeze will have more effect than this product, just like the old days. Best part is, it is cheaper, last longer and does not require batteries. I would NEVER take this to the field with me, so I sent it back."

Decoy could be improved,November 26, 2007
By Aim4goldfrom Topeka, KS
"I have been using it for 2 seasons now. Battery life is about 2+ hours A little noisy but the wind usually covers it. The stake is too long, I cut mine off to get the decoy closer to the ground. It does it's job, gets the coyote looking at the decoy and not you. Had one stare at it for 45 seconds from 20 yrds away, so it works."

Too noisy,November 7, 2006
By ULinfrom Sweden
"I have used the product in freezing temperatures and repeatedly only got about 45 minutes out of a set of batteries. I expect it might be better in warmer weather but for my hunting the battery consumption was too high. In my opinion it also makes too much noise. Not all, but some red fox have thought likewise. Perhaps a minor problem if you hunt in wind, but a big problem if you hunt those clear cold winter nights."
