"The group of us that go to fish Canada's Lake of the Woods decided to put these in our boats for safety and fishing communication. Install was reasonably easy and they did what we hoped for. I can't speak as to the range on our setups but I'm certain of several miles using an 8' antenna"

"I purchased this VHF in a pinch since mine died 3 days before I needed it. By reccomendations that i read, I thought what the heck, I'll give it a try. It was a better deal that I figured. I have awesome range. I made a call 13 miles+. Crystal clear. I didn't hook it up to the GPS yet, I'm planning on it though. The speaker is not a "high quality, but it gets the job done. I like it."

"This radio is excellent for the money. Only thing, would of liked to have known no GPS receiver with the unit, sold separate, Also had hard time finding the GPS receiver to buy. I would recommend this unit to anyone, grate buy."

"Installed the radio along with Cabela's 36" antenna on our motorhome to use as a base radio. The installation was easy, the product arrived in good condition. The reception/transmission is clear and crisp. Functions are user friendly. Purchased the MRF 75 for the boat. It has a couple of extra features we did not need in the motorhome. The is the first VHF radio I have owned. Reception/transmission distances seem to be excellent."
