"We acquired this hammock as part of our emergency supplies, as well as for its stated purpose -- portability. Last week, we travelled to a nearby island for a day of play, and took the double hammock. I admit, I was surprised when three fairly hefty people sat in it sideways -- No tearing anywhere that I see.
Rope hammocks seem uncomfortable on the skin, small weave hammocks tend to "cocoon" around a person, however this strong, fabric hammock is very comfortable.
I wish the hammock had been made with a fabric tube on each end of it, such that a person could put in a wood or metal "stiffener" if they chose, however for the money, ease of transport, light weight and comfort, this hammock is a great buy."

"overall a great product. the only issue i have run into is that the pouch on the side of it has begun to rip off, but i work at a boy scout camp and sleep outside in my hammock every night for seven weeks solid so it is definately getting alot of use"

"Well made. Most hammocks don't accomodate 2 folks well and this one is no exception. I still recommend the larger hammock so you can lie diagonally (tends to keep your body less bent). The extra width served to cover me and to keep the less dedicated mosquitos at bay. Cords & S hooks are plenty strong to support 400lbs. Integrated bag is a bonus, great spot to keep my glasses.

"From a British visitor staying in Iowa. I rate the travel hammock five star! It is light and small to pack in a picnic basket, and gives endless enjoyment, and is very useful if you are in chigger country! Just hoist to the nearest trees and enjoy. It was nice to have the hooks and tie ropes included too, and not have to hunt around for extra rope. Two quite heavy people tried it out at the same time, definitely big enough for two! However I might put a larger guage rope on the tree in future...!"

"This is a great bargain! When you consider the cost and weight downfalls of a sleeping pad and tent, this is truly what every backpacker needs (as long as you are in the treeline!). Perhaps the only downfall is you need a warmer bag for the conditions since you are suspended in the air. Two of my friends have allready purchased the hammock after seeing mine at work."
