"i have own one of these hammocks for 25 yrs. or more and was so glad to find Cabelas carried them. these, in my opinion, are one of the best around. after 25 yrs. of me and alot of other friends and family using it, it was time to replace the old with a new one. it was shipped very quickly and even the back ordered travel hammock arrived earlier then they estimated. i love this store!!!!!!!! thanks,gb"

    Fantastic Purchase, May 7, 2009
By howlingwolf487 from Cherry Hill, NJ & Huntington, IN

"I bought this hammock a couple of years ago. It has seen much use while I have been at college. I was in it today for a while and slept for a few hours in it the other day, as well.

I no longer use the ropes included with the hammock. Instead, went out and bought some parachute cord which I made into 2 large loops (once looped, each measures around 10 feet). I tied some figure-8 knots into each loop (which can be easily undone should I need to use it for other things) and wrap that around the tree, limb, or whatever I hang my hammock on.

It is practically impossible to fall out of this hammock and, if hung properly, can be a great way to spend the night off the ground. I still need to buy a nice tarp to keep me dry, but that's for another review.

I'd buy this again in a heartbeat and have recommended it to many people.

Travel Hammock for a first-time NW Fishing Trip, July 22, 2008
    By ClarkForkDan from Idaho Panhandle

"The friend for whom I purchased this hammock scoffed at the idea of a hammock on a fishing trip. But at 2:00 the first afternoon with the temperature in the 90's, he tried it and promptly fell out the other side. Figured it out and got back in, and once he got the hang of it, was the first one into camp each afternoon to hit that hammock for a catch-up nap. He later admitted that it was one of the best parts of the entire fishing trip for him!"

    Great Hammock, July 21, 2008
    By III0III

"This is a great Hammock. Lightweight, sturdy, really comfortable. One advantage the solid nylon cloth has over a traditional mesh hammock: I was able to pull one side or the other, or both to keep out an unwelcome breezes. It is also easier to get in and out of. beltloops, or pockets don't catch like in a traditional hammock. I have tried a lot of hammocks and this is my favorite by far."

Best Hammock ever, July 8, 2008
    By jdzaz from wisconsin

"I just got back from Boundary waters and me and my cuz both got won before we went we used them everyday and they are so strong and can also keep you warm at night if you put it inside your sleeping bag if you have a low rated bag. We went with 6 more guys and they were fighting over them to sleep in during the day. you can fold them over you to keep bugs out and they feel so soft."

    travel hammock, July 7, 2008
    By maccent98 from Syracuse, NY

"The hammock is nice and comfortable, have it set up in the back yard. Easy to clean and set up. Had nylon rope one before and that one separated so bad had to get rid of it due to my 6 year old daughter fell through and got hurt. But this one is solid and no chance of that happening. Also the convenient puch that it folds up into is ideal for taking down, and small enough to store at night to keep animals out and the hammock lasting longer."

    slow day, November 29, 2007
    By coyote243 from oregon

"this is a good way to spend the slow part of the afternoon when animals have slowed down on moving. I used my new hammock this year while hunting archery elk in oregon. after a hard morning of hunting, camp can sometimes be a long hike off. i fined its nice to just take it easy swinging in the breez napping off the morning hunt, enjoying nature."

"Great for summer backpack camping. Why mess with tent poles, stakes and hard ground when you can sleep in one of these?

This is an essential item to add to your camping stuff.

"This hammock is really cool and easy to set up. Comes with the rope and everything you need except 2 trees.
It comes in a very compact small bag and was up in about 5 minutes or less. I am 250 lbs and held myself and my 50 lb daughter with no problem. I love it and am ordering another one
