"This haat is great, it lets your head breath, the sweat band collects sweat, and disapates it. the back of the heead strap keeps the hat on comfortably, even at high speeds. I just love it, thank you."

"Great Hat !!!! I have had Brezzers before and they work very well for a while then they have a tenacity of having the "droops". That is when the brim wants to uncontrollably drop in various angles and dangles. This hat will not do that. With the wire rim in the brim you put it there it stays there.

I originally purchased the Kodiak Breezer Hat so I could wear it at the office and when I want to look nice going out. It feels great on my head and I get a lot of compliments on how well it looks. If anything were to ever happen to it I would order another one quickly to replace it.

"I got this hat to use in competive trapshoots to keep some of the sun off me. I have to say this is the finest hat I ever found to shoot in. It is heavy enough to not be bothered by the wind but the coolest thing I have ever wore on my head. Great product."

"I'm an avid Colorado fly fisher and at 9000 feet and above I'm often fishing in some major intense sun. My doc told me I needed a good hat to shade my head. I've used all sorts of hats for fishing - ball caps, felt hats, crushers.... But this hat, far and away, is the best flyfishing hat I've ever had. The mesh top keeps my head very cool and the wide brim shades my face and neck, and the brim is stiff enough to support the clip on magnifying glass that I've discovered I need to tie on flies. The only adjustment - the Cabelas hat measuring guide showed that I needed an XL (my head measures 24" even). But the XL was a tad loose. So I cut a 1/2" wide x 24" long strip of synthetic shammy and tucked it in under the hat band and now the hat fits snug as a bug in a rug. The hat looks great too. My wife loves it. You will not regret buying this hat."

"I received this hat today and have taken the dogs on the daily walk and gone fishing with it already. Its a very solid, well made hat with a great deal of attention to detail, including a hidden pocket in the inside of the crown. The brim is fixed, this is not a crushable hat, FYI. My only criticism would be that the large is too small, and the XL is just a bit large, but it is a hot weather hat, so better it fits a bit big. It also has a nice quality strap in the event it gets windy or if you're boating across the lake at speed. Nice hat, glad I got it."

"I love the style and quality of Outback's hats. I have three now. They are the hats I wear horseback riding. Very comfortable and great style. The strap is great as we live in an area where there is some wind. Additionally they clean easily with a soft sponge, mild soap and look like new again.l

The price is a good value. If you carried additional colors I would buy more!!"

"Folks;

I looked at many hats before deciding on this one. I may be biased, it seems that everything I purchase at Cabelas works even better than advertised, this hat is no exception. Excellent quality, fits well, rugged, so far, and looks good. I've yet to see someone with a hat as nice as mine. Although I haven't owned it long, the construction belies a long useful life ahead, long story short, I would and will buy one again."

"Great hat I really loved them but had to look elsewhere for I fit inbetween the sizes. Large was to small enough to cause pain, XLarge way to big not useable. Found friends that each fit and they could not be happer. Try the river Guide the Large fits just right."

MY 70 MPH fishin hat!, October 26, 2008

"I use to wear a standard straw cowboy hat but I've lost too many going 70 across the lake and my baseball type hats always let my ears and neck burn. I cant wear my felt here in Texas till at least November, its just too hot!
This hat is very nice with a piece of heavy but thin wire on the outter brim so this hat will form and stay any way you want, and it sheds water quick and drys up fast on the outside. It won't shrink but the inner band will hold just enough moisture to help keep you cool much better than other very similar hats. The top mesh booster is great and keeps its shape very well.
Similar hats run a two layer leather cord around the inner brim then punch holes in the hat and call that your hat band, oh, and to hold it on your head, but those strangle you and all look so very cheap and then start to tear! This hat maker added a extra long leather cord that forms the hat band itself but did'nt stop there. They attached thier logo to that and tied that band together all the way around. Then used real metal eyelets to cinch it up when your moving to a new spot on the lake, but unlike the others the attachment cinches in the back so you can attach it to your shirt hook. I've had others that were almost identical, but only in appearance, they just couldn't take the summer heat, wind, quick showers, this company has used top quality materials and put the hat together very well. Buy this hat, it's a winner in any color!
I hope they make a felt with the same quality for winter Fly-fishin!"

"Hat looks great in both color schemes. I use it at the shooting range and it's perfect protection from hot sun while keeping me cool and comfortable. Mesh top allows breeze to flow and the leather band with medallion is a nice touch."

"Just the hat I have been looking for sun and rain. I've looked everywhere for such a hat. I only wish they came in hat sizes instead of S, M, L, XL. As would be I fell between sizes but a little stuffing made for a great fit."
