Bushnell Elite 1.25-4 x 24,November 14, 2009
By 68Shooterfrom Spring Grove, IL
"After about 300 rounds mounted on an AR in 6.8 SPC the top cross hair split. I sent it back to Bushnell for repair. Now, after another 300 rounds on another AR in 6.8 SPC, the top cross hairs split again. I would not recommend this scope. The 6.8 SPC recoil is relatively mild, and this scope is advertised to stand up to 10,000 rounds of .375 H&H."

Great Muzzleloader Scope,November 1, 2009
By cwalker80from TN
"This is my first time using a Bushnell scope and am very pleased. I hooked this up with my CVA Accura with DuraSight rings and after 20 shots of 110 grains of Blackhorn 209 the scope didn't flinch. The optics are clear and the tube is very sturdy. I was concerned about the eye relief, but when I took it to the range I had no problem shooting magnum loads. I just had to make a slight adjustment on where I place my cheek on the stock. Very good scope and the price makes it even better."

flawless optics,May 27, 2009
By hunter1990from Buckfield, ME
"I bought my Elite 4200 3-9x40 two days ago. The image quality and brightness is amazing. I also tested the fogproof feature by breathing on the lens, and then looking through it. By the time I got the scope up to my eye, the fog was completely nonexistent. I am very impressed. This is by far the highest quality optic I have ever used. This product was recommended to me by two friends. I'm passing on that recommendation. Enjoy."

Elite 4200 Scope,April 16, 2009
By DJMFishingfrom Bay City, MI
"I own three of these scopes, and I really like them! I am not a hunter, but I like to long distance sport shoot. I think that they are very clear, let in plenty of light, and hold true well. I own all the same scope, I liked the first one so much that I ordered two more for my other rifles. I have had a chance to use a couple of scopes that were a great deal more money, but I did not really see much of a difference. That is just me, and what I am doing more so than anything I think. I can not say much about the rain coating since I have never shot in the rain. It does not seem to fog up like some other scopes tend to.

Best for the money,February 23, 2009
By iowacritterkillerfrom Iowa
"Best scope for the price. Just as clear as leupold, for less money. Stronger tube construction than Nikon. Scope is long, with a lot of area to attach rings. No need for extended rings, even with a long action. You won't be disappointed."

Best Low Light Scope you can get,December 30, 2008
By SkunkApefrom Swampy South
"Ask yourself this: If your allowed to hunt up to 30 minutes after sunset, how do you harvest your animal with your Leuopold (or other brand) if you can't see your cross hairs? I own a Leuopold but as far as I'm concerned, its good looking at the range but no where near as useful as my Bushnell. I have a 50 mm with the firefly reticle. Because of the good optics and glowing cross hairs (comes w/ a flashlight so you can charge the sights), I have been able to stay out to the very limits of hunting time to harvest many deer and hog. Its been the best strategy so far for me to combat their nocturnal tendencies, especially hogs. And the rainguard is the cherry on the sundae, never had any problems with fog, rain or snow blurring the image. Best part, though, was the price."

Bushnell Elite,December 19, 2008
By JEichfrom Everett, PA
"Bushnell has truly developed an ELITE rifle scope. Their rain guard technology as well as scope components are at the highest standards. I have several top brand rifle scopes, however the Elite 4200 surpasses them all. I highly recommend this rifle scope and all other Bushnell optics for the serious hunter and outdoorsman."

GOOD SCOPE,December 2, 2008
By HillCountryHunter303from Texas Hunter
"Optics Very Good. Eye Relief Average. Windage Elevation Site adjustments Average. Structural Integrity of Scope Excellent. Good Buy for the money, but not a Leupold - I own 2 of them - Vari X III and VX III they are better and if you can save a few more dimes go for them. Boone & Crockett Reticle is particularly nice on the VX III - now that Cabelas has them on sale you might want to consider it."

Elite 4200 8-32X40,December 1, 2008
By Toobroke
"I've wanted to put a higher power/lower objective scope on my varmint rifle (model 70 heavy barreled 22-250) for quite some time now; plus the scope I had on it (Vari-X III, 4.5-14X50 LRT) I wanted to mount on another rifle I recently acquired. I am a Leupold man (I own several) but could not justify the expense of a new VX-III. I have read good things about the Elite 3200/4200's on various internet forums for a few years now, and I thought what the heck, I'll try one. So far I am quite pleased/impressed. Eye relief is not quite as much as the Leupold, but still more than sufficient on this rifle. The optics seem as clear (even out to the edges) as my Leupolds. It has 1/8" fingertip adjustable turrets just like the LRT it replaced and they seem to be spot on (unfortunately I haven't shot with this one much--yet). The only negatives I can think of are: this is the first scope I have mounted that ran out of elevation before I could get it sighted in; I had to shim the sope base. I'm sure this is related to the limited elevation adjustment range of this scope (20 MOA if I remember right), I'm using Leupold QR mounts. The only other thing is the numbers on the turrets are small/hard to read. But would I buy it again? At half the price of the Leupold--heck yes!"
"Absolutly the brighest, clearest, scope I have ever owned at any price. Perhaps it will be the new standard for dangerous game."

3x9x40 4200,July 24, 2008
By Hobyfrom Hoby in Los Angeles, California
"This scope provides a great sight picture that is bright with perfect clarity. AND it provides enough focus adjustment in the eye piece to completely compensate for me not wearing my eyeglasses which I need to read. Other scopes do not have enough focus adjustment for me and the result is a blurred sight picture but not with this model. This is a great scope for anyone but if your eyes are old and tired, this will scope will adjust and make you think you're eyes are 20 years old again! FYI, I have a Zeiss Conquest 3x9x40 and a Kahles 3x9x42 and this Bushnell 3x9x40 4200 is within a hair of equaling their optical quality. The 4200 also has rainguard which is a real deal if you hunt in rainy or snowy conditions. If you choose a 4200, you will never regret it!"

Bushenll Elite 4200:1.25-4X24mm E dot,June 20, 2008
By Hmongwarriorfrom Minnesota
"Wow! I order the Bushnell top of the line optic- the elite 4200 (1.25-4X24mm #4 E Dot Illum.) First, I was told that this optic was not available until mid-July. I was not very happy to hear that. However, I did go head and order the product on 06/16 for the reason that it is very quality glass and its reputation for having rain guard/MC. I also like the fact that it is 30mm tube and plenty of light transmission. I was very surprise when I got home the order was sitting on my table three days later waiting to be open. Thanks Cabala for well done on getting my order sooner than I had expected. The glass was very clear, heavy, and very durable. It is one the best optics. I am a firm believer on the phrase on “You get on what you pay for.” Don’t waste money on non-quality glass for an expensive gun. Buy a well quality glass and it will last you a very long time. I will mount this on my M4 and cannot wait for the shootout! Thanks again!"

Rainguard is a must have,January 29, 2008
By Sageflifrom New Brunswick, Canada
"I spend a lot of money on gear to hunt all types of weather from rain to snow. My 4200 with raingaurd finally allows me to see clearly in all conditions. I have had the scope covered and full of snow and am simply able to wipe it off and see clearly. The 95% light transmission allows me to stay afield until closing light even on dark days. Bushnell has really stepped it up with this product."

Bright, reliable, and accurate,January 26, 2008
By BDPatriot13from Franklin, TN
"I bought this scope two years ago, mine's a 2.5x10x50. One time I was walking across a beaver dam and dropped my rifle in/under the water. Immediately, I picked it up drained it, and kept goin'. I also get an extra 15-30 minutes of light. Thanks to this, I'm no longer the first one back at the barn."

Not to bad,January 1, 2008
By SNOWMOBILEUTAHfrom MURRAY, UTAH
"I was very hesitent to buy a Bushnell, but I heard they had improved their product line. I put this on my 300 ultra-mag after shaking another scope apart. It has held up very well. Also we hunted elk in a complete blizzard this winter. The raingaurd really did work. I was very impressed with that. Light gathering does not seem to be any different than any of the good/expensive scopes, but much better thean a less expensive one. I almost gave this scope 4 stars, because you can buy a better scope for more money if you want to. But considering the bang for the buck, its a 4.75 rounded up to a 5."

bushnell elite 4200 firefly,October 3, 2007
By hardwoodshunterfrom upstate new york
"this scope is everything i could want in a scope.the clarity, brightness, and ruggedness of this scope is what one would expect from a quality product.have had scopes, which were great scopes also, but was no where near as clear as the elite series. also in my opinion the firefly reticle is second to none.in low light conditions when that moment counts, there is no second guessing where your cross hairs are.with over thirty years hunting experience,I would "highly" recommend this scope to anyone shopping for an excellent hunting scope."

Outstanding; "BEST ON MARKET FOR THE MONEY",July 4, 2007
By BigSqueezefrom Anaheim, Calif.
"Bushnell truly has a winner with the 3X9 Elite 4200! Simply the very best for the dollar!!!!!.........Optics and resolution clarity is spectacular, even in any weather situation due to it`s Rainguard feature. No missed shot opportunities due to bad weather!!!!........With it`s one piece aluminum-titanium alloy tube, the construction and durability of this scope is second to none!!!......Just sight it in, then forget about it!!! Holds zero beautifully!!!!.......When compared side by side to the Leupold VX111, WHICH COSTS MORE, the Elite 4200 is brighter and just as clear.......This scope compares very closely to the Zeiss Conquest!!! But for me, when looking through both the 4200 and the Zeiss, the added $100 cost for the Zeiss was not justified........"

As always,July 2, 2007
By ccigatorfrom ohio
"I find the Bushnell Elite scopes the best value in rifle scopes out there. The rear portion of some of them is rather large, but that is the only downfall for the system. You will spend twice as much to start getting back into competitive scopes. Great optics, rugged, reliable and good looking. Except for the optics - kinda like me!"
