Bushnell "Turkey Gun" Scope,June 18, 2009
By HunterPaulfrom Loysville, PA.
"I know this scope is listed by Bushnell as a Slug Gun Scope, but I was looking for a long eye relief scope for my turkey shotgun and this one fit my needs! I have a problem keeping the scope off my nose because in the heat of the closing seconds of the hunt, I creep up to get a full view in the scope and when the hammer drops, I get a broken nose, and it happened more than once lately! This scope has 6+ inches of clear full view and a cross hair that makes a great frame for a Gobblers head! I looked around before finding this product at Cabela's, they seem to have what Sports people all over want and need! Thanks Cabela's for providing a great selection and problem solvers for hunters like me!"
Bushnell Banner Cantilever Slug scope,April 20, 2009
By Dumontfrom New Jersey
"It was broken after 44 shots. Probably it is one of the the best scopes for the money for .22 LR, 410 ga and other firearms with low recoil. But not for 12 ga shotguns with magnum loads. No miracle. Sorry."

"Decent scope for the money, I had a simmons prodiamond mounted on a hastings cantilever barrel on an 870 Rem. again, good scope but not enough eye relief for me. The bushnel is awesome in that catagory. sighted right in with 6 shots. Making figure 8's @ 100yds. I gave it 3 stars because it hasnt seen a hunting season yet not sure of its durabilty. Here in the north east the deer woods can be rough on a scope Good luck to all! BRL66"
nice view, but not accurate,October 12, 2008
By tombearclawfrom Brookfield Wi
"I mounted this scope on a cantilevered mossberg 500 12ga. the view through the scope is very clear and sharp. That said, the scope is impossible to sight in. After bore sighting, at 25yds the first round hit the frame of the target about 12 inches low. Succesive upward adjustments did not pur us any closer to the bull, but eventually it placed a 5 shot group in an inch and a half about 8 inches up and 4 to the right of bull with cross hairs on the center. we tried adjusting back down with no sucess. of 20 shots the scope put none in a 10inch kill zone at 25yds. I am very disapointed with this scope and will be returning it. maybe this is just something wrong with this particular scope that I have."
Great Bang for your BUCK!,September 25, 2008

"I bought this scope because of it's reticle. I have a hard time seeing the small cross hairs on other scopes. The scope seems to be very durable and has great clarity! I highly recommend this scope for any hunter who wants to have high quality and pay less for it."

"For the money, this scope has the look, feel, and quality of a scope double the money. i needed compact scope, with good eye relief to mount on a muzzleloader with detatchable scope rings...the bell on this scope is nice and short so i can leave my iron sights on my CVA Wolf. Just all around impressed and happy with my purchase."
Expensive quality, Inexpensive price,July 19, 2008
By simpleman032from ROCKINGHAM NC
"I purchased a Bushnell Banner dusk/dawn 3-9x40 scope 5 years ago for my Browning BAR .308 deer rifle simply because at the time I didn't have alot of money to spend on optics, and planned on using it for a season or until I could afford a quality optic. To this day I am still using it after beeing completely satisfied with the clarity and quality of this scope for the price. Since then I have purchased two more Bushnell Banner scopes in the slug gun model in 3-9x40 with the 6" eye relief for both my Browning BPS 12 ga. cantilever slug gun and my CVA Kodiak magnum .50 cal muzzleloader. I really like the long eye relief that worked out just right on both guns. All three scopes were well worth the price for such premium optics, and they all hold zero very well, even the one on my 12 ga. slug gun holds zero under heavy recoil. Everyone I've showed them to could not believe the quality for the price. I plan on getting a .500 S&W H&R Handi-Rifle, and I already know what kind of scope is going on it. Very satisfied with such a great product at a great price and a warranty to back it."
"After bore sighting this scope I was able to get out and complete sighting in adjustments yesterday. My initial impression of this scope is good. Of course usage over time will give a better picture. Everything on the scope worked as it should. For the price of the scope I think the optics are great. With the physical size and long eye relief of this unit it fits my rifle great. The $200.00 scope I had on previously was not a good fit because of the shorter eye relief. If you want a scope for use at 100 yards or less this should be one you consider. I mounted it on my Winchester M94 in 357 mag and the extra eye relief makes a good fit. Cary"
Son got first deer,January 8, 2008
By BigB1from Baden, PA
"The eye relief on the scope was more than adequate to deal with the large recoil of a slug gun. I was concerned because my twelve year old son was using it for his first deer season. After bore sighting, it only took three shots to have the gun sighted in. I believe the success of my son getting his first deer was aided by this scope with the shot of approximately 70 yards."
First scope on my first slug gun.,November 21, 2007
By LivingH2Ofrom West Frankfort, IL
"This was my first scope on my very first slug gun (Mossberg 695), and in 2 years I have a dead on 87 and 97 yard kills, and I'm a new hunter. After 2 years it's still accurate, didn't have to change it a bit this year when sighting in for the season. You get 6 inch eye relief and you get a big beautiful view of your target. Since then I've tried switching to different guns with different scopes. But I've decided to add this scope to my other shotguns because it's so perfect for deer sluggin'."

"i bought this scope for my mossberg shotgun with a rifled barrel, and it works great i love the reticle it is very easy to get on a deer etc. while its moving, and the 6 inch eye relief works perfect. the scope works great for what its made for and you cant beat the price i have shot alot of sabot slugs threw my shotgun with this scope mounted on it since the 2006 deer season with not the 1st problem if you want a good scope for your shotgun deer barrel with a good price that want let you down, then this is it."
Good on my gun..,April 10, 2007
By SanJoseHunterfrom San Jose CA
"I bought this scope to outfit my Hastings Cantelevered Scope Mount rifled barrel that I use on my Rem. 870 Express. Works great and the long eye relief is key to this particular barrel type. The 'view' throught the scope is a bit small in diameter, but the reticle is great and I really like the scope."
"I mounted this on my 1895G in a semi-scout configuration, just forward of the Ghost Ring rear sight.
While Bushnell advertises 6 inches of eye relief, I've found it to be more like 5 to 8 inches -- very forgiving.
The optics are bright and clear all the way to the edge of the glass. The scope holds zero and I haven't run into parallax issues.
My only beef is that the turrets don't click with authority. The adjustments are 1/4 MOA, and you need to pay attention in order to count the clicks accurately."
Perfect Slug Scope,November 26, 2006
By wcsivfrom Middletown, NJ
"The Bushnell Banner Slug scope is a perfect scope for the slug gun hunter. Its adjustable magnification allows for flexible distance shooting from 25yds all the way to 100yds. The eye relief is great too by keeping all that recoil away from my face! We can't use rifles in NJ but this scope makes my slug gun have rifle-like accuracy. Get it..you'll be happy."
"A Perfect Match!",November 21, 2006
By Vonstuppefrom Iowa
"My hat's off to Bushnell for making a great new product! I mounted the "Banner" on my Cantilever Slug Gun, and was instantly thrilled with the perfect eye relief. I no longer find myself straining forward to get the proper sight picture, and my groups at the range improved as a result. I also mounted one on my Wife's Turkey Gun. She has already used it to harvest her fall bird, and says seeing the target has never been easier!"
