"A competent scope at a fair price. I wouldn't select it for a hunt in which I invested a lot of time and money, but it's great for local hunting here in the Southeast."

"this scope is great! bought it for my 10/22 and can cover groups with a quarter at 50 yards. well worth the money. i also bought the tasco rings which seem to work well with this scope. perfect for targets and occasional small game. I think this scope beats most $100+ scopes."

Bushnell Sportsman Scope,
August 11, 2009
By ri5039

"I got 2 of these to replace the old scopes I had on my 22's. They were 1/2" tubes and one was 40 years old. It took less than 10 shots per gun after they were bore sited to be dead on at 50 yards. I did speand a little extra for mounts, but it was worth it. The Redfield mounts work well with this scope. Have had the scopes on about 6 weeks and put 2500 rounds through each gun without a problem."

Scope,
June 30, 2009
By sonyboy
from Woody,California

"Only a couple things I did not like. First when I ordered this scope I thought the cross hairs were red all the time. NOT. You have to turn the red on by pushing a button and you have to push it multiple times to get the brightest. The other thing is the scope was shipped without a battery for this and I had to purchase one my self. I did contact Cabelas and they said they would ship one but I really wanted to get the scope mounted and shoot it. I bought this scope for a 22 rifle to hunt ground squirles and do like it alot."

pretty good,

"As far as I can tell this scope is good, especially for the price. I have it on my Ruger 10-22 LR. I can get 1" groups at 50 yards. I was shooting in the rain yesterday and I would get inconsistent shots (2 next to each other, then 1 about 1" or so low). I am not sure if this is from the rain or scope?
My only complaint is that it is not as clear as I would like. Dont get me wrong it is nice and very adequate, maybe its my eyes, but the cross hairs for me get blurry at 50 yards sometimes depending on the target."

"I bought this scope thinking it could be used for indoor/outdoor TARGET shooting mounted on top my Marlin 39A lever action. My first usage was at 50 feet at a 1/4 inch orange circle. The optics are NOT crisp and sharp and should have known better buying this cheap model. This scope would be okay for shooting varmits but not for extremely small objects with clarity. I replaced with Nikon's ProStaff 3-9X40 which is still has better optics[IMO] than Bushnell's Elite 3200. The Bushnell Sportsman is for Hunting. I learned the hard way in not asking questions for my application and physically examining each scope at the time. With my rifle, I would suggest Weaver low profile mounting rings."

Bushnell Sportsman Riflescopes,
January 20, 2009
By ArthurS
from North Carolina

"I purchased both the 3-9x50mm with the illuminated reticule and the 3-9x40mm versions of this riflescope.
The 3-9x50mm version arrived with both fingertip turret ajustment knobs locked down (windage and elevation) and I couldn't get them to budge.
I exchanged it for the Barska Huntmaster 3-12x50mm with the 30-30 illuminated reticule, mounted the Barska on my CZ, and am driving tacks now.
I mounted the 3-9x40mm scope on another rifle and when I was laser boresighting it from my vice, I found that over 60 of the elevation clicks didnt move the the reticule at all, and only allowed for a very small elevation adjustment. The windage adustment worked fine.
The rings I used (Millet and Leupold) were not overly tightened on either of the scopes as I was still borsesighting and leveling the reticule when I noticed the problems.
I always run the windage and elevation knobs on my scopes through their full range before mounting them and count clicks, then zero them back to half of the counted clicks before boresighting.
I also exhanged the Bushnell Sportsman 3-9x40 for the Barska Huntmaster 3-12x50
Maybe I was just unlucky and got 2 bad scopes, but the probability of that happening is fairly high."

Bushnell Sportsman Riflescope,
December 15, 2008
By JR1952

"Good scope have used it on high powered rifle for deer hunting and on .22LR for squirrel and rabbit hunting. Very adequate for daylight conditions. Easy to sight in with 1/4 MOA click adjustments. Holds zero very well. Have used as varmint rifle on farm under dirty and wet conditions and the objectives remain very clear and it stays on target. Good first scope for a young hunter."

"Bought it for my CVA muzzleloader and couldn't be happier. The silver looks great with my stainless barrel. The only drawback is the hammer is kinda tough to get to when mounted with short rings. Scope is clear and draws in plenty of light. I shot last night well after dark and could see much more light through the scope than with the naked eye. Like it so much I am going to replace the scope on my Mossberg 500 shotgun. Great scope for those of us that who are on a tight budget. Perform though like the more expensive scopes out there."

"I,m very pleased with my new scope. We have a 2000 acre cattle ranch, and more than enough squirrel's to target. I can shoot all day, and barely put a dent into their number. With my new scope on my .223, I can reach out and touch them."
