"This item was purchased for our recent 3rd trip to Gloucester,MA to head out to sea on a Whalewatch excursion. Our trip this time took us out 28 miles. The ocean was about as choppy as a nice day on a freshwater lake! These optics offered the maximum FOV available which created a tremendous panoramic view for spotting whales! The size is compact enough for carrying on airplanes,or stowing on a schooner.(we also took a schooner ride out of Gloucester)In otherwords no fatigue in toting these around your neck! Add the durability that was built into these optics,you have a winning product that is sea worthy for your next trip!"

"I was looking for a small pair of binos to go inside my surf vest. The optics are OK but not great. My main complaints are that they are heavier than expected and are chunkier than they look in the catalogue-hard to carry. They appear to be waterproof."
