"I couldn't be happier with this holster. Fits my S.A. 1911-A1 like a glove, yet draws easily. Also the placement of the gun on the thigh is absolutely perfect, and very stable too. This is by far the most comfortable way to carry the heft of a full size 1911. I can now bring along my sidearm in the woods without bearing all that wait on just my belt. VERY COMFORTABLE"

"The Taurus/Beretta holster is too small to hold the firearm (PT 92) and an extra magazine. The fit is so tight that the magazine pushes into the open-cut slide of my Taurus, so I can't pull the gun out easily. I've let it sit for 2 weeks, and it still hasn't stretched out enough to hold both. The plastic wrapper says it's for 3 3/4' - 4 1/2" barrels, and the PT 92 has a 5" barrel, but the main problem isn't the length but the diameter where the mag pouch is. It also rides a little high (I'm 6'3"), but works if I move stuff around a little. That's too bad since I like the material and design. If I take the mag out, it works OK. Might be good for other guns."

"I was not pleased with the lack of selection of holsters for my handgun (Ruger P95). When I found this one listed I was skeptical. I prefer a tactical rig and am spoiled by my Blackhawk SERPA at work. -- PROs - Having read other reviews for the Gun-Mate holster, I followed their advice and stored the weapon in the holster for a week prior to use so the holster wouldn’t be too tight. I found the holster held the pistol securely and did not bind during draw. I was concerned that there was only one strap connecting the holster to my belt and was pleasantly surprised that the holster did not wonder about during use, even getting in and out of a vehicle. The holster was very light (unlike the SERPA). Great price and speedy delivery from Cabela’s -- CONs – The magazine pouch was a little too tight for the Ruger magazines. No accommodations for red dots or lights (not a problem for me as they’re not available for my weapon either)."

"Well I really don't know how to put this but I had horible luck with this holster. When I purchased this holster I though I was getting a good quality holster for the money. As I went to go use it though I found that the leg straps to be to short to go around my leg. Granted that is probly not the manufacures falt for I am a pritty big guy but what really did it for me was when the seam to the belt drop pritty much ripped off and has become useless. I think I spend the money on a blackhawk. It might last more than 3 to 4 uses."

"I purchased this item for the springfield armory XDM 40 cal. It fit great and looks good. I gave it a 4 and not a 5 because of the velcro leg fasteners. I would have perfered the plastic clip assembly just like the one for the waist belt attachment. Shy of that it appears to be a great product and holds the weapon very secure."

"The holster seemed to be of good enough quality, but it was too small to handle my Sig P220. There was a tiny fabric blem on the inside lining but, other than that, the quality of material and workmanship seemed fine. Be aware that with this single belt strap design, access to your pant pocket is limited."
