"Installation is not a problem but the lips on the mags are of thin sheet metal and prone to bending. They also come "pre sharpened." Big lateral gouges in the brass cases. Rounds do not feed well at all."

"Had to have a Gunsmith install which cost me an additional $75.00...he had to 'grind and do allot of sanding to get it to fit! I have an older model Remington 700 BDL 30.06 maybe that's the reason of the poor fit...after install the clip removes okay, but does not fit tightly...it rattles when bumped or touched..I'll have to be careful when hunting...does anyone have any recommendations to make the clip fit tighter so it doesn't rattle? I'm sure it'll work better than the drop away, but did cost me more than I thought..."

"I installed the Kwik Klip in my Model 700 and went to the Range. Every time I fired my Rifle the Klip would fall out on the Ground. I thought I was doing something wrong, it did no matter how hard I installed the Klip it would not stay in place. I could not take a chance on having the Klip fall out of my Gun 25 foot in the air. So I removed and returned the Product. when I inspected the Product there is only (1) small piece of Metal holding the Klip in Place, in my judgment this is a design flaw. My occupation is a Mechanical Designer."

"I have a Rem 700XCD 30-06 and for three seasons have to climb the tree and then had to load her up fumbling with the rounds with my gloves on, plus the noise. Then I found the kwik klip in Cabelas thought I'd give it a try hoping it wasn't like a lot of aftermarket products I've bought that didn't work. It was very simple to install and chambers the rounds flawlessly. I now climb into my stand pull the loaded clip out of my backpack and snap it in the rifle then chamber a round. It came with a three round and ten round clip, since I bought it I have ordered two more ten round clips just because, well you know they look really cool at the range and in the field, I'm always having guys ask what kind of gun it is. Super quality, super cool!"

"Having read some of the earlier reviews I was worried about installing it, but it was the easiest and least expensive improvement I have ever done. It took all of twenty minutes including getting the tools and rifle out. Perfect fit.
Mags drop easily when you press the release but are secure in the field. They feed perfectly. No change in POI

"This kit is great! I installed it on My Remington 700 30-06 With an H-S Precision Black Stock. The fit is great nice and tight. It looks factory! It rubbed on the bolt very slightly, took it to the range and it went away on its own, now its just as smoth as it was from the factory I loaded it all the way with 10rounds and it fed perfectly. Not once did it ever jam. It gets lots of attention at the range and it was a lot cheaper than other DM setups. I will also be using one on my Remington 700P 300 Winchester. It is too bad that they dont make this for the short action or else I would buy it as well for my other Remington's. Overall I would recommend this product."

"I am quite happy with this product. Works well with my .300 Win Mag. All that that was needed was a little adjustment to the stock and it fit perfectly. The 3 rd magazine fits well, but the 8 rd mag is a little loose, but seats well and doesn't fall out, which is good enough. Also, magazines must be loaded more like a pistol magazine than a normal rifle magazine, but this does not interfere with the feeding of the round. Overall, very pleased."

Poor engineering makes a poor product,April 17, 2009

"I purchased the Kwik Klip Kit (come with a 4-round magazine) and two (2) 10-round magazines. I run a Remington Sendero 700 in a 7mag, synthetic stock.
My 1st complaint – the small print, not in the add: The stated amount of rounds that the magazine(s) will hold is inaccurate in the add. The package states that the 10-round magazine will only hold 8 rounds if you are using a magnum round, the 4 round will only hold 3. Ok, logical for a “universal” system but in fact the 10-round will actually only hold 7 rounds of my 7-mag. They could, at least, state this in the add.
The installation: I had to spend about an hour “smithing” my gun. Some minor fitting issues, not much of a problem. I was happy to see that the base went in like a charm.
The excitement: I loaded the 10-round (um, ok the 7-round) magazine with all 7 rounds. I cycled the rifle and it fed the first 5-rounds fairly clean and then…
The disappointment: the last two hung-up/would not feed cleanly. So, to check things, I did it again, same result. I loaded the 2nd 10-round magazine – same result. The 4-round mag – same result on the last round.
The diagnosis: I will be blunt – they got cheap on the spring. I took apart the clip (I know, I just voided my warranty). I am working with a friend, who owns a high-tech machine shop, to solve both the spring issue (he can make these) and the nose-diving issue (described in other reviews-very true).
The result: Nothing yet… but Kwik Klip may have made a competitor out of me. The fact that they have a Universal system (good idea) but cant machine the two primary parts to come together smoothly (base and clip) so that they rattle against each other when you walk or even swing around? And then they don’t offer the obvious solution to the nose-diving problem (if you are reading this Mr. Kwik Klip, you know what the answer is too) and then to get cheap on the quality of the spring?
In business, Mr. Kwik Klip, you always have to be moving forward, otherwise you get run over by guys like me.
