"I gave this product three stars due to a couple of things.
The wooden case has warped tot he point of not being able to close.
There was not documentation in the case for what tools to use ar how to use them. You are just expected to know this information. New gun owners who have never used a cleaning kit need the basics.
The actual tools are well made and easy to use."

Well equipt but flimsy,

"I bought this set because I needed a small kit with lots of variety to take with me when I'm out shooting. I have to say that it met both of those criteria very well. The problem is that the rod is about as useful as a plastic straw. A coat hanger straightened out end to end would be a more reliable rod than what it comes with. I have to say that all the brushes are pretty useful but do tend to leave a little brass behind after a few heavy uses. Also, plan on picking up so extra patches with this because the ones that come with it are very coarse and not very absorbent. All-in-all I think that, for the price, I got more than I paid for but probably should have paid a little more for a better product."

"I have never used a gun cleaning kit as poorly made as this one. I bought it as I believed it would be a nice addition to my travel set up for varmint and pheasant season shooting. What a mistake. First thing I broke a tip off in my .223, but was able to retrieve it. Second time I was cleaning my .223 a rod off.
don't waste your money or time buying this kit. Get something else.
This is the first time I've ever had a complaint with a product from Cabelas and I hope it is the last. I'll be returning it tomorrow, Monday."

"Had the same problem with the 22's. The adapters for cleaning 22's are too large. They scraped up the barrel of one of my guns and wouldn't even fit in another one. Spend the extra money and get a better kit."
