"I bought an Omega z5 muzzle loader and could not get it to group with the 250 grain XTPs and just happened to have some .452 300 grain XTP bullets also.I loaded them on top of 120 grains of Triple Seven FF and the groups shrunk to nothing,touching each other.Last fall I shot 2 deer with the XTPs and the damage was incredible,I am so satisfied that I don't really don't want to go back to my H&R Ultra Slug shot gun which is very accurate and would not hesitate to shoot a black bear with them which I am hoping to do this fall."

"I have been using XTP bullets for years and never had an issue. At 1,580 FPS (300 grain XTP Mag) through my Super Redhawk in 454 Casull they exhibit deep penetration and 87% weight retention when fired into wet newspaper. I would generally rate them at 4 stars per the retention, however because of the low price when compared to other premium HP's it more than makes up for any shortcomings. You can target shoot with your hunting load without going broke! Hornady makes great products that's for sure."

"I load these in a .454 Casull and they are excellent. You really have to push them to get expansion. I've shot them into stumps at 1300fps and they didn't expand one bit. I think I could have re-used it! Accuracy is good."

"A good bullet for the Savage ML 2 .I harvest two deer this past season with this bullet. A 7 pt buck at 60 yds and a doe at 150 yds. Very impressed with this bullet performance. Recommend to anyone who has a Savage ML 2."

"Wow. I harvested the first deer with my new muzzleloader. I used the 250 gr bullet. If he hadn't rolled downhill, he would have dropped on the spot. The debate with myself whether to use the 300 gr or 250 gr bullet was won by the 250 gr. This bullet performs great and is economical to shoot."

"These are very accurate in my Savage MLII, using 4759 powder. I get good velocity and fine accuracy down range. Less recoil than using the 300 XTP. We'll see how they perform on deer this season."
