Kdubya,November 18, 2009
By Kdubyafrom Columbus, OH
"Used these out of my Ruger .338 Win Mag. Had great accuaracy and consistancy with my loads using these bullets. Unbelievable performance on a bull elk I harvested last week in CO. Shot at 457 yards, went clear through leg bone, chest cavity, and complete exit. Dropped the bull in his tracks. Great results at half the cost of other bullets."

Awesome,October 22, 2009
By grunkybouyfrom Picayune, MS
"I gotta tell ya, these Hornady SST's are the cats meow. I load with SST's in just about everything I shoot. Very consistant bullet to bullet weight comparisons. Coefficients are excellent. Expansion is great. Looking forward to the new 200 gr. SST. I will be buying more of these."

Accurate Bullet,October 8, 2009
By Bushmaster25from Coeburn, VA
"This is a very good conventional bullet. I have not taken anything with it yet, but proves to be very accurate in a custom .338-06 Ackley Improved rifle.
At least for the accuracy, I highly recommend you trying this bullet."

Too much variability in bullet length,September 3, 2009
By CarefulReloaderfrom Central Texas
"A randomly selected group of 50 bullets from the box of 100 varied in length from 1.315 inches to 1.284 inches. The differences in lengths were so great that I had to regularly adjust my seater die so that every bullet was seated to the center of the cannelure. I have never had this problem with bullets from other manufacturers."

hornady 225 gr .338 sst bullet,August 9, 2008
By cugirfrom Florida...all aspects of guns..sales to hunting
"I bought a 100 pack of the .338 hornady sst bullets. I'd swear these bullets are seconds. If I could post a picture I would. Where the plastic tip meets the jacket there are imperfections. Chips along the edge of the copper jacket. I wrote Hornady an email and they didn't have the courtesy to answer my email. I shoot a lot of nosler, sierra and hornady stuff.....no more hornady, ever!!! I won't deal with a company that ignore's their customers. If I had a problem with nosler or sierra they would communicate with me. Don't waste your money on these bullets. Don't waste your money on hornady."

.338 win. mag.,March 13, 2008
By Pennsylvaniafrom PENNSYLANIA
"I THINK THAT HORNADY'S 225 GR SST RIFLE BULLETS ARE SUPERB. I SHOT A HUGE BODYED 8 POINT BUCK (EST. LIVE WEIGHT 300+-LBS.) AT APPROX. 100 YARDS WITH A .338 WIN. MAG. (THAT HAS A 26" BARREL. I HANDLOAD THIS BULLET TO 3000 FPS.) THE BUCK CRASHED TO THE GROWN AS IF A TRAIN HAD HIT IT, THE BULLET TRAVELED THROUGH THE FRONT SHOULDER ON AN ANGLE, AND TRAVELED THROUGH TO THE REAR HIND QUARTER AND STOPED ON THE INSIDE OF THE HIDE. THE BULLET'S PREFORMANCE WAS SUPERB. THE BULLET MUSHROOMED BACK TO ABOUT 3/4 OF IT'S LENGTH AND HELD TOGETHER WITHOUT SEPERATION. PENETRATION WAS APPROX. 36"+-, BASICLY THE HOLE LENGTH OF THE DEER."

.338 hornady interlock,August 19, 2007
By heartdocfrom West Virginia
"These bullets grouped well in my Tikka .338 federal. Groups were generally less than an inch. I have yet to try them on game, but from other reports they should perform well. Once again another excellent and fairly priced product from Hornady."

200gr., .338 Hornady bullets,April 23, 2007
By dpdsddfrom Deary, Idaho
"These bullets were bought for use in reduced loads for a friend.
The friend, a woman, will be using her .338 Win. Mag. to hunt spring grizzly in Alaska and needs trigger time with her new rifle.
So, this bullet in combination with manufacture recommended reduced loads should give her the needed practice without the usual recoil experienced with the heavier bullets/loads used during the hunt."
