"We seem to have some picky fish around here that will only take these flatfish. Gold seems to be the best for me. Great action and flash. I love the two hooks on the back, I get a lot better hook sets. Give them a try you will love them"

"I have fished with Flatfish for over 50 years with good results. This summer I opened up my tackle box and found that many of my larger flatfish had expanded bulbous bodies and some were split. The older wooden lures were fine. I understand that another reviewer contacted Worden's Customer Service department to no avail.
My advise to other fishermen: If you can buy older wooden ones, snatch them up. If you must buy newer ones do not leave your tackle box in your boat when you are done fishing. You may open up your box and find what I did.

"I have been using the Flatfish for years with great success but the last lures that I purchased have really gone down in quality. This summer the new lures either cracked or bubbled so much that the plastic broke. Meanwhile my older lures are fine. I tried contacting the company and they really had poor customer service, didn't respond to phone calls or emails at first. When I finally got someone he acknowledged the problem and told me that it could happen again. Its really too bad, they were great lures."

"first time out with the wordens flatfish my wife 3 yr old son and i caught 2 king salmon. equipment- 8ft trolling combo with 30lb copper line 20ft of 15lb leader. also had one more fish on but lost it. wordens flatfish performed flawlessly.. i bought 5 more ! not bad for 3 hrs of fishing..."

"I use 2 of these on the lake every time I go out one colors comes from Cabala's and the other is from a other Co.
Neither one carries both colors. I catch my limit of Lake Trout every time I go to the lake.I troll with Downriggers on the bottom at 1.4 MPH. Using a Gamin GPS also from Cabala's. Larry"

The Old, reliable flatfish,August 14, 2007

"I was glad, after some decades of saltwater fishing only, to see the Flatfish lure was still available as I moved to a lake area. I use these for trolling for Rainbow trout, and once you've got the right depth, it's "old reliable". Excellent action at slow trolling speeds make this an indispensable lure. They don't cast well, and I wish that the smaller sizes (I use F-7) had the tradional hook rigging, one in mid-section and the other at the end of the lure, like the larger sizes do. The tandem hooks (coming from the mid-section) too often miss strikes and catch on the line (where the action is then gone). Other than that, I'd give them a "5". One of the best lures ever!"
