Strike King Bleeding Spinnerbait,October 31, 2009
By Allseasonfishermanfrom Southeastern PA
"Even though I have not caught a fish with bait, it still gets high ratings. As mostly a weekend angler, the weather has not been kind for the last month on Sats and Suns. I have fished the bait and do like the action as I can feel the blade spinning using 10 lb test with my 6 and a half foot baitcasting outfit, also from Cabelas. The bait is well made and I know it can't rain forever on the weekend!"

"I use mostly the white bleeding skirt with silver blades. I have burned them through cover and angled them with a slow bouncing retrieve with great success! The only draw back to the bleeding spinnerbaits (as with most colored hooks) after catching multiple bass the red paint chips away from the hook. This does not prevent me from catching more fish or from giving this bait a 5 star rating. Heck, if the paint chipped off from NOT catching bass then there would something wrong!"

Another great lure from Strike King,July 22, 2008

"I am new to the sport of bass fishing; though, I have been fishing for panfish and trout for a few years. This being said I can't compare this spinnerbait to others I can simply tell you about this spinnerbait itself. The spinnners work great almost always spinning exactly how they are supposed to, the exception being if they get tanlged in some weeds. As far as weeds go this bait is does very well. You can cast this thing into the next county so you can cover a lot of water in just a few casts. I have to give it 5 stars because I caught a 21" smallmouth within the first dozen casts. I will definitely be buying more of these baits!"

Very Good spinnerbait,June 8, 2007

"Caught a good largemouth (2 lbs.) with this lure on my 10th cast, ran straight until it got hit hard a couple of times. Good lure but it could be a little more durable."

Strike King Bleeding Bait Spinnerbait,November 20, 2006
By blc1839from Harwick, PA
"I bought three of these baits at the initial purchase time: chartuse and white, chartuse only , and white only. My wife and I used them on our first outing in our new bass boat on a local lake near Saltsburgh PA and we really enjoyed the ease of use and results of the Strike King Bleeding Bait Spinnerbait. The day we had to go fishing was not a prime fishing day, but these spinnerbaits produced for us anyway. On this day, using the chartuse and white color, I caught one of the biggest large mouth bass I've ever had the privilege to catch.
Pro's: Ease of use - the baits are heavy enough that you can get a really long cast from them which allows you to sneak up on the fish without spooking them with the boat. The weight also allows you to walk them over and around underwater logs and brush with great ease. Very well engineered - the baits are very well put together allowing a lot of wear and tear from casting into the shallows and rocks. I was especially pleased with the spinner action as it worked each and every time, each and every cast. They look absolutely beautiful swimming their flash through the water.
Con's: If fished too slow, they have a definite tendency to hang up often. They are better used with a casting type reel than a spinning type reel. (My wife was using a spinning reel and her bait tended to 'sail' on her quite a bit.)
Recommendation: A great versatile bait at a great price. I've purchased five more since my initial purchase of these three."
