Cabela's Short Shank Live Bait Jig

Ideal for pitching live bait to shorelines and flooded timber, the shorter shank of these jigs makes them slide easily into the mouths of light-biting walleye and places the proper angle for hook penetration when you're making a horizontal presentation. The stinger eye in the back of the jighead is perfect for attaching a stinger hook when the fish are short-striking at the lure. Per 25. Sizes: 1/8 oz. 1/4 oz. 3/8 oz. "The design of these Jigs do not work for me! The attaching eyes are too close to the bait and in the wrong location, and when attached to either eye, does not allow for a natural presentation of the bait! I will end up throwing them away!"

"Price is right but would pay more if they used better hooks. Several have broken off at jug head using 6 pound line. Better jig heads available on the market."

"This is an excellent product. They are far superior to Northland Tackle jigs. These jigs are key to fishing live bait in timber and thick weeds. I fish on a river in central Wisconsin and there would have been no way we could have fished the spots we did with regular long shanked hooks, even the weedless type. In fact it was the bait my father-in-law was using when he landed a 31" walleye out of a submerged tree top.
The paint on these jigs is extremely tough and the finish and color are excellent. There is a place to attach a stinger hook and that comes in very handy. I highly recommend these jigs and would never switch."
