On the flats of Belize,
October 28, 2009
By FLATSWALKER

"I used the Cabela's Bone Sneaker for 7 days of wading the flats of Teneffe Island in Belize. The sneakers were extremely comfortable and offered great protection and support. I wore PP wading socks under and had only a slight amount of very fine sand enter the sneaker. These are a winner and a great buy."

great for the salt water!,

"I do alot of marine construction work and for onsite inspections these boots have taken the salt water, marine grease, and cement like a champ. Two things;1. After about a year of abuse the lining on the sides of the of the toe start to tear. 2. Buy some sort of padding (gel inserts) for inside the boot or your feet will pay the price."

Cabela's Bone Sneaker,
April 8, 2008
By GDent

"I spent the past week wading flats and beaches of the Caribbean in search of Bonefish. The Cabela's Bone Sneaker were outstanding. I waded a mixture of both muddy flats, hard bottom sand flats mixed with coral heads & razor sharp volcanic rock and a number of beaches. I found them unbelievably light even when wet, the soles felt very sturdy even on slippery rock. Over all they were very comfortable and I am looking forward to using them as boat and water shoes in the lakes and rivers around Canada this summer. The only down fall about them would be that they take a longer then average time to dry (2 days in the hot Caribbean sun). I belive this may be due to the all padding that makes them so comfortable. That being said I would always lean towards comfortable shoes over dry ones any day, besides they are meant to walk in the water. I would strongly recommend them to others!"

Great but,

"I have used the Bone sneaker for two years fishing in Ascension Bay about 30 days each year. I wear the shoes with a pair of midweight cotton socks. These are the most comfortable of the flats boots I have used by far. The only problem I have encountered is after two years the boots are cracking and will not make another year. I would recomend them for occasional trips but not for hard use. I may buy them again because the comfort level is important to me."

Cabelas Bone Sneaker,
January 8, 2008
By TandK
|
"My wife and I both got a pair of these boots before our honeymoon to Belize. We fished with them for about 7 days, so we can't vouch for long term use, but they performed very well on a variety of bottom substrates for those 7 days. From grass flats to coral to hiking beaches looking for tails the boots were comfortable, light and offered great support and protection."

Use them all the time,

By 808Bonefish

"I fish the flats in Hawaii all most every weekend. I have had my Bone Sneakers for about a year now. They have held up pretty well overall. I wear the boots with a pair of warm water wading socks and have a set of gel insoles in them for comfort. With the socks and insoles, the boots are great for walking over the flats. They provide good support and protection from rocks and rough bottom features. The only complaint is that the toe guard is starting to wear and crack after a year of constant use."

Cabelas Bone Sneaker,
August 21, 2007
By BonyJoe
from Johannesburg, South Africa
|
"Used my Bone Sneakers on the Vaal river, a fairly large fast flowing river in South Africa, whilst fly fishing for yellow fish. I bought them one size too big and used neoprene socks with them. Nice warm, comfortable feet make for a better fishing experience and my Bone sneakers did the trick! Not to mention that they let in no grit. I'll be using them in Seychelles in December on the flats and look forward to them performing as weel as they did on the river. Great product!"

great on the flats,
November 23, 2006
By skipr

"While many flats boots are fairly puncture resistant, many will still allow the sole to deform around smaller objects(like rocks) which can still be uncomfortable. These boots have a more rigid than average sole which helps prevent this, and the sole is good for traction both on or off the boat. The uppers are also good and these boots can double for hiking in warm. wet conditions."
